OT > PT as movies and as an era

Anakin is not meant to be an end all be all god of the force rather a dumb kid who is just learning how to use his power

Vader isn't garbage

Maul was better when he just stayed dead

Rebels is a more fun show than TCW though I won't say better writing

George Lucas is no genius he's an ideas man not a competent writer alone

Count Dooku is a cool character but shouldn't have much screentime, he's not at all the kind of character that should be dueling Anakin and Obi-wan every week, he should be pulling the political strings

Boba Fett is great in the EU and meh in the movies

Coleman Trebor isn't a bad Jedi at all jango's blasters are just designed to kill jedi

TLJ was actually on par with TPM for how much I enjoyed it

Kylo ren has the potential to be as cool as "Darth Starkiller" from the Force Unleashed DLC

Trilla is BAE, Merrin is weak and uninteresting.

The Grand Inquisitor has more human elements in his 20 minutes of screentime than the entirety of TCW's Darth Maul

Darth Maul would beat Count Dooku through sheer tenacity if it came down to a sabers only scenario

Vader is more masterful with the force than Anakin could ever hope to become

I don't think Maul neccessarily needs to have human elements when the character is basically a raging animal and always has been ever since he was a child.

my dude TCW has robbed you of the once honor bound warrior from shadow hunter and pre TCW material. There was a time when Maul was an uncompromising badass with a personality honed by years of training, now he is a shell of a man ridden by insanity and a desire to kill one man.

George Lucas is no genius he's an ideas man not a competent writer alone

They’re not the same thing. You can be a genius who’s great at coming up with weird and wonderful ideas but you can be a fairly meh writer. Lucas was an exceptionally poor dialogue writer, but his ideas and plot points were generally very sound.

Honestly yeah, I kinda preferred Maul before TCW, this another reason why I separate TCW from the prior Canon...among others. But that's another discussion.

I'm not sure on Boba, I haven't really seen him over extended lately in his capabilities.

I'd say Jango is more overrated by comparison.

Speaking of, me thinks Mandalorians are greatly overrated in their H2H ability. That isn't what makes them dangerous.

1. Dooku and Revan are great characters, but they're massively overrated.
2. The tier 9s can handily beat or even stomp individual tier 8s, from Dooku to Obi-Wan.
3. A New Hope is the worst of the OT and not as good as ROTS or TPM.
4. The prequels did a good job at making us care for the Jedi Order.
5. TFA isn't too bad a film.
6. Vaylin is a great, albeit tragic character.
7. SWTOR is a great game and can't be compared to KOTOR 1 or 2 in any way.

-I wasn't a fan of Maul's portrayal in TCW.
-TLJ is the least bad of the ST
-The force unleashed is underrated.
-The Thrawn trilogy is average.

-Thrawn trilogy skippable (might not be a super hot take)
-ESB is boring
-the EU would be much better off if everything between NJO and Legacy comics got deleted
-Kueller looks unironically awesome and no more cheesy than Vader, people are just more desensitised

1.Emperor Palpatine is ruined by everything involving him outside of the original saga.
2.KotOR 2 >>> KotOR.
3.Almost all Legends content is fan fiction tier writing.
4.The Clone Wars isn't as amazing as people remember it to be.
5.Rebels was almost entirely skippable.
6.TLJ is the best of the sequel trilogy.
7.Star Wars in any version of the lore should have ended with ROTJ.
8.Rogue One is in the top 6 of the movies.
9.TFU series is bad and overrated.
10.Most serious Star Wars fans are manbabies, are fickle and feel entitled.

To be fair I think the fandom is so large, old and divided that relatively few opinions are unpopular across the board. All three trilogies have their fair share of dedicated fans and haters, unpopular opinions with casuals like ones dismissive of TCW can often be considered generic and going after low-hanging fruit by nerds. Normies will cry about TFU or OG CW being exaggerated, powerscalers will cry about many stories being unreasonably low-powered. KOTOR I and II are both critical darlings, but with different tones and atmosphere so favoring neither one is trully unpopular and many people dislike TOR for being different, but at the same time a continuation is welcomed by many and everyone loves the trailors. Anything that becomes very prominent and popular will also have a lot of people saying it's overused.

Truly unpopular opinions often go into obscure territory like "Greg Bears Rogue Planet is better than Matthew Stover Shatterpoint" or "James Luceno is the worst SW author ever"

1. Ahsoka and Maul should've died in S7 finale
2. Most of ESB is uninteresting to watch (though to be fair I haven't watched it since I was like 13 lol)
3. The Jedi order is a corrupt collectivist group reminiscent of modern day Western governments and corporations that deserved to die
4. Darth Sidious was the good guy
5. Most of the EU books are severely underappreciated

Sure there are others but that's all that comes to mind
