Why'd you bring it up then, given it's an irrelevancy I never disagreed with? The subject of discussion was whether Luke was an 8, his ability to beat other 8's has no bearing on that whatsoever, hence my point.

I'm toying with ways to still justify Vader being an 8, and perhaps you can say that ROTJ Luke can't be conventionally ranked given his "instantaneous" "mirroring" of Vader's Djem So.
