THE WEAKNESS OF INFERIORS
"in place of the Empire or the New Republic, Palpatine planned to bring about a new form of galactic governance. He would use the dark side to control everything and everyone in the galaxy. What's more, he is capable of it"
Welcome dear reader, This Blog is final part of my journey into the dark words of the emperors secret writings, books that had preserved his dark knowledge for eternity, In galactic record the emperor only managed to make up to three of these books before he was finally destroyed. In this blog I shall chronicle his second volume titled "the book of anger"
While its impossible to know the full details of this book of evil, I have taken strides to do the next best thing. A collection of knowledge that could reside within the emperors dark pages. what would no doubt amount to mere scraps of the full thing it will have to do. Please enjoy the last installment of my Pages From the Dark
Creation of Monsters (part 1): https://www.suspectinsightforums.com/t4419-pages-from-the-dark-the-creation-of-monsters
Book of Anger (part 2): https://www.suspectinsightforums.com/t4432-pages-from-the-dark-ii-the-book-of-anger
The Weakness of Inferiors focuses on 4 rules, rules that Palpatine believes to be an unspoken law that does not change no matter where he looks. I shall discuss these rules and shed light into Palpatines own uses of these rules within his Empire, those 4 being:
- POWER COMES FROM OUTSIDE THE WEAK
- THE FACE OF AUTHORITY
- THE LAW OF FEAR
- THE WEAK DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE FORCE
RULE 1: POWER COMES FROM OUTSIDE THE WEAK
Emperor Palpatine wrote: The weak have never been known to believe in themselves or in their ability to wield power.
This line encapsulates the first rule of the weakness of inferiors. The weak do not believe in themselves or their abilities, they will always look to others for power or help or order when they need it instead of inwards. It was this belief that allowed him to create his Empire, an Empire who has conditioned their pilots and soldiers to be completely dependent on higher authority and willingly acknowledge their worthlessness.
a method in which he has taken power from the weak comes in many shapes, one instance is the the strong emphasis on what is considered "core world values" robbing alien worlds and species of basic decency and concepts that they are rational and understanding beings. Subjecting them to heavy occupation and even extinction
which of course will grow over time and soon aliens will be actively bullied either out of sight or off world entirely, denied the basic rights they held under the old order of the republic
as also noted, there is more then mere dominance in military strength to control the weak and helpless, attacking art and culture to conform to "the proper way" has bullied common society under the empire to repress artistic freedom and creative thinking. Imperial citizens coming to view their lord and master as a demi god who leads them and brings order across the galaxy.
Of course such thing is by design. Palpatine of course is above all such things being the Emperor of the universe. Everyone else must watch what they say and justify themselves in one form or fashion while trying to ascend this overly complex system Palpatine has created to ensure only he is absolute.
The weak do not know their own power. They only know the power of the empire, The power of Palpatine.
RULE 2: THE FACE OF AUTHORITY
Emperor Palpatine wrote:The weak live in a dream. All their thoughts, actions, and urges are governed by the face and the voice that controls this dream. The face and voice they have learned to obey. The face and voice of Authority
Control, Control, Control. As the face of authority Palpatine can control whatever he pleases, he can control the news to twist and bend whatever story he wants to his favor. By removing the news outlets as private entities and absorbing them within Palpatine controls the truth, how the masses will perceive reality
We get glimpses of Palpatine beginning to manipulate the truth as early back as in the clone wars. Where he is addressing "rumors" about the jedi (2:50-3:00)
Palpatine would write within his Book of sith that all people seek to make sense of their reality but do not or will not look deeply. preferring to ignore things that may not fit with their original view of the world.
Even in times of the Empire Palpatines own officers would rather remain ignorant then dig deeper
"your focus determines your reality" and with Palpatine controlling the focus, he controls your reality, and you may not even be aware of it.
on Byss we see this taken to its extremes where he locks its citizens in a dream state, literally controlling their reality
He controls the news, he then controls your thoughts, your beliefs and then your whole reality. Palpatine can control them all with the force, with a single flick of a switch or even a silvery lie from his lips, for he knows that everyone craves the dark subconsciously, a fact he uses fully to his own advantage
RULE 3: THE LAW OF FEAR
Emperor Palpatine wrote:A consequence of the first two tenets is that the weak live in fear. The mere suggestion of violence from one of authority is enough to inspire their obedience. How can one who doesnt believe in his own powers stand against the power of another? it is impossible.
From the first two we learn that the weak do not believe in their power, and that Palpatine can control the reality of situations to make the former even more a reality. Which in turn creates fear, fear that if they step a toe out of line they shall be punished, fear that their neighbors or friends may sell them out for favor, fear that they will fail, fear that the chaos of the past will return in this day of order
Fear is the blood that runs through the machine that is his Empire. it fills the minds of its officers who in turn subjugate others, which will spark a cycle of fear all across the galaxy
But as we learned from the second rule, Palpatine can turn this fear to his advantage, fear of alien worlds in the outer rim who can pose as "rebellious" and need to be wiped out, fear to drive others to enroll in the military to bolster its strength to help ward off any dangers.
The Deathstar was to be the ultimate tool of fear, its mere presence was to crush the hopes of any rebellious threat, its overwhelming power and size would fill all with dread when it loomed over their planet
RULE 4: THE WEAK DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE FORCE
Emperor Palpatine wrote: The Force is the ultimate means to gain authority over the weak. The weak do not understand the Force. The weak do not sense the Force, therefore how can they understand or use the Force? so it is that the weak are at the mercy of those who know and use the power of the Force. The proper use of the Force can inspire awe and obedience in the weak.
The final rule the Emperor penned for the Weakness of Inferiors, the weak do not know or understand the Force. This rule can only be made possible be the past rules all working together, with being able to control and instill fear and warp the truth Palpatine in only a couple of decades at most has made the Force be nothing more then a fable, a myth and so too were the jedi.
We can see evidence of this all over the Original Trilogy films, more specifically in the first one, A new hope
Luke Skywalker, who needs no introduction as we may all recall starts by not even knowing of the Force
Han Solo, who claims to have been from one side of the galaxy to the other and despite all the stuff he's seen does not believe the force is anything more than simple tricks and nonsense
Motti making quips at vader's "sorcerous ways" of his "sad, devotion" to an "ancient religion" showing his either lack of belief or simply looking down on force practitioners in general
Palpatine has wiped out the jedi order totally and nigh utterly, Not only toppling them from their seat of power but practically erasing them from history all together, reducing them to mere illusionists with shammy powers, or as Han Solo put it "simple tricks and nonsense" and were cheered when they were destroyed.
as such it stands to reason that any display of the Force in an imperial world, especially the capital world of Imperial center (Coruscant) will be seen as an abhorrent creature and taken into custody for this "power that they do not understand"
The people do not want jedi knights, or wizards of power. The Force is a myth, the jedi using parlor tricks to deceive everyone. Its in Human might that the galaxy is being tricked to believe, as far up as the Emperor himself, whom the galaxy sees as the model of human achievement and seen as a demi god among its people.
to run down the 4 rules in its most simplest forms:
RULE 1: NOBODY BELIEVES IN THIER OWN ABILITIES
RULE 2: PALPATINE CONTROLS REALITY AND MANIPULATES THE TRUTH
RULE 3: EVERYONE IS AFRAID, AFRAID OF THE ONE IN POWER
RULE 4: THE FORCE DOES NOT EXIST, THE JEDI ARE A MYTH
This concludes the Pages from the Dark III: The Weakness of Inferiors. A tribute to the works of Sidious and all the authors creative imaginings. I hope you've enjoyed the read, any contributions to this Compendium of the dark is very much appreciated as this is meant to be a testament to the Darkside compendium Palpatine was writing. as close as we can make it from what little we know. what you do with the info is up to you, I simply wish to provide you with the means to view such a collection.
THE END?

Good stuff. As always, though, I'll stress the importance of proper grammar for a polished surface level look. Makes reading more pleasant as well.
As for the content, I definitely feel like you could expand this to cover the Emperor's broader plans for a dark side theocracy and the Dark Empire that I briefly went over in your first blog. If you're up for it, I'd recommend overhauling and combining all three blogs into one to show how the Galactic Empire we see in canon was actually in its infancy, and how the existing infrastructure was there only to serve as a foundation for a vastly greater and more sinister system that would underscore the true scope of the Emperor's deranged megalomania. While Publius's thesis is fantastic as it is, I feel there's still more to write on this topic before it's exhausted.
