Tenebrous was comparable to Plagueis, who in turn is comparable to post-boost Sheev and even ROTS Sidious, who at that point is considered the most powerful Sith in history.

Sidious > Plagueis > Tenebrous > SWTOR Vitiate > solar system buster Kun.

Nothing you just said conclusively puts Maul below Tenebrous. Intuitively speaking you could be correct, but if we wanna use intuition Sadow>Tenebrous's master. Which would logically put Kun at or above Tenebrous.

If one accepted the tales handed down in accounts and
holocrons, the ancient Sith had known how to accomplish
this. But had Sith like Naga Sadow and Exar Kun genuinely
been more powerful, or had they benefited from the fact that
the dark side had been more prominent in those bygone
eras? Some commentators claimed that the ability to
survive death had been limited to those with a talent for
sorcery and alchemy, and that the use of such practices
actually predated the arrival of the Dark Jedi exiles on Korriban. But sorcery had been employed less to extend
life than to create illusions, fashion beasts, and resurrect
the dead. Powerful adepts were said to have been able to
saturate the atmosphere of planets with dark side energy,compel stars to explode, or induce paralysis in crowds, as Exar Kun apparently did to select members of the Republic Senate.

So we have Plagueis contemplating the feats of the ancient sith like Exar Kun and Naga Sadow. In order to rationalize the grandeur of these feats he posits that the dark side may have been more powerful back then. The need to rationalize these feats implies that none of the banite sith preceding him ,including Tenebrous, were powerful enough to replicate these feats. Now one might say that one must have the gift for sorcery so this wouldn't be proof of the ancients's superiority over Tenebrous, who did not possess the gift of sorcery. However if this were true and Plagueis thought that Tenebrous was indeed more powerful than the ancients, his theory that the dark side was more powerful back then would not have been needed. So it's very likely that Plagueis believes the ancients were above all of the banite line preceding him.

or, u know, plagueis never even saw how strong tenebrous actually was in the first place, just like he never saw how strong naga or kun were either, making this pretty damn useless. but hey, it is what it is

Pre-Cinnagar Kun pulling off the same TK feat as Dooku, with similar ease, probably puts him above Tenebrous even as of that point. Kek.

Tenebrous was comparable to Plagueis to a certain degree, sure. He got surpassed after his death. And no Plagueis is not comparable to post-boost Sheev or anywhere near ROTS Sheev. ROTS Sheev has not got a single Legends OOU Historical quote to his name, as much as others would like to act as if he has a mountain.

Worse yet, Chee doesn't take any supremacy quotes as canonically binding. So no one else is obligated to either.

Oh and literally no one called Kun solar system busting.

You can stop now and just accept the L or I can conjure genuine feats comparisons and straight up end this whole thread. Your choice.

kulvax is technically right here. BUT tenebrous' slight parity with plagueis, who is somewhat implied to be have been the strongest sith after vitiate does put him in the lvls strong enough to match said vitiate, making him reliably stronger than kun imo

But given that DoE Bane couldn't even handle the residual energy of Ambria when channelled, whereas Thon managed to contain the entire planetary nexus and all of the Sith spirits all across the planet simultaneously and trap it there, even after death.
