Underrated: Luke and Vader. People try to downplay these characters with easily debunked stuff like Vader being “stalemated” by Old Ben (he wasn’t, Vader was holding back because he was cautious and still the clear superior of the two. Oh, and Old Ben isn’t even that much weaker than his RotS counterpart) and how Luke was outmaneuvered by Lumiya (while this sort of is true but if you’ve read the comic you’d know that Lumiya only beat him the first round because she caught him off guard with the lightsaber whip and even that only allowed her to win the first round with Luke giving himself a second lightsaber and preceding to body her the second time).

Underrated: Vader, RotJ Luke, pretty much all of the PT Jedi Council members aside from Yoda, Yaddle, and Mace. Seriously, Plo Koon, Ki-Adi Mundi, Adi Gallia, Eeth Koth, Shaak Ti, ect. all need more love. Not saying they're all top tier, but they do all have some pretty impressive showings, yet mostly seem to go overlooked. 

Overrated: The Tales of the Jedi characters. Exar, Ulic, Nomi, ect. I just don't get the hype, outside of some of Exar's shenanigans in the Jedi Academy Trilogy (I strongly dislike those books, for the record; I feel the characters were handled extremely poorly, and there were far too many convenient plot contrivances).

Malak is still overrated, Dooku is becoming overrated, Revan is overrated as always. Kun is underrated these days but seeing AP talk about him makes me glad that he is underrated since most users have experienced the insane Kun wank in the previous years and it is ridicilious.

Everyones opinion is dotted somewhere different along the spectrum, and they change frequently. Besides, if you compare our views as a whole community right now, and compare them to:

-Ourselves months or years ago
-Other forums/debate communities/social media sites
-Fans or readers that aren't into debating

We have waaaay more in common than differences. Debating these days is basically hashing out the final 1% of differences.

It's true that Anakin has been depicted to be a better battlefield warrior and I think he edges Obi-Wan in sabers and Force reserves. With "pretty much equal" I was referring to the fact that in a direct duel and Force contest they were (are) extremely well matched, and Anakin wasn't hindered at all. This should be clear at least in canon.
