Power Disparity? Empty Power Disparity?

September 4th 2019, 10:54 am
How much of a difference in power is needed to ragdoll an opponent at full strength?  Does X have to be twice as powerful Y? Thrice as powerful?

By "ragdoll" I mean just tearing through another's defenses with no underlying circumstances involved (i.e. Bane/Qordis, Yoda/Ventress).

There's no way to quantify it.

Just interested in hearing everyone's opinions on an approximate

I'd hazard a guess at twice as powerful as a baseline (This isn't concrete though and is gut instinct only).

Hard to judge. For example, Arcann ragdolled the Outlander but the Outlander could also stagger Arcann with a Force push. I’d say 1.5 - 2 x the victim’s power level.

Arcann can’t ragdoll the Outlander.

I have been considering this question though and plan to do a blog covering this after my other projects are done.

I think he was referring to the fight on Asylum. That's pre-prime Outlander though obviously.

I know — I’m saying he can’t ragdoll that Outlander either, though he’s far more powerful.

How do you interpret the huge force push that Arcann does the flings the Outlander against the wall? Or when he throws him onto the floor? Or when he just pulls him onto his saber?

What do you mean by "twice as powerful"? What's the measuring stick?

I would say that all the solid examples we have involve rather astronomical gaps, enough so that they're not even in remotely the same tier in power (e.g. Yoda vs. Ventress). It's probably one of the harder things to do - not as hard as oneshotting with uncharged TK or blitzing a duel in seconds though.
