Disney Canon Sources/Quotes that confirm Sidious is the most powerful Sith in history?
January 15th 2021, 6:15 pm
Can anyone provide quotes/sources and/or point me towards another thread either on this website or elsewhere that has compiled any Disney canon quotes that confirm Sidious is the most powerful Sith in history up until his time?

He doesn't really have any at all as far as ik. Vader is the one getting them, he's basically Legends Palpatine. Consistently getting statements, but I guess the All the Sith Statement works
"Unseen for generations," he crowed. "And now the power of two restores the one true Emperor!"
He raised his perfect, healed hands, and called on all dark power of the Force and the Sith who had come before him.

The Emperor's StarWars.com databank entry refers to him as a "vessel of all the Sith's power." You can't be a more powerful Sith than a vessel of all the Sith's power.

Unlike Legends, I don't think there are any canon quotes which explicitly state: "Palpatine was the strongest Sith in history up to 'x' point in the timeline"... And this is likely intentional, given that Disney is still exploring/teasing/introducing the ancient Sith in their lore(so they may want to leave a little wiggle room in the Sith pecking order.)
But like Gideon said above: by the RoS-era(possibly much sooner, depending on what kind of revelations we get in upcoming material), Palpatine was acting as a vessel for ALL the Sith's power. So there is really no logical way for any one Sith to be above a guy who was packing the cumulative might of every Sith in the Order's history. /shrug
