Well to be fair we didn't see Yoda fight in the OT so when he said that we've never seen real Jedi fight you could say Yoda gets a pass on this. 

I mean in canon Yoda doesn't even have a lightsaber at this point. In Legends he has it but the complete locations book shows that it's stored away in a box somewhere.

We saw Yoda fight R2 and he struggled.

Darth Sidious.
Count Dooku.
Darth Vader.
Boba Fett.
And General Grievous.

Using his fight with R2 just wanks ESB Yoda even more.

In all seriousness, you do realize the frog kept practicing in anticipation of the Sith's return? He has a quote that says he has the same power as ROTS Yoda, and two others that say he's training for the chance to take down Sidious

I'm pretty sure that there is conflicting evidence of whether Yoda grew post-RotS.
