That would mean Jacen has the potential to replicate the feat in question, which wasn't what the title asked.

Yes, but he goes on to say "you can do whatever you want" which could be written off as a hyperbole, but then Luke references "potential" in the force, and the "discipline" required to reach his potential, indicating that Luke is referencing Jacen's overall potential in the force.
