What if Obi-Wan Kenobi died instead of Qui-Gon Jinn in Episode 1?

What would happen if they swapped fates? Obi-Wan gets gutted, Qui-Gon cuts Maul in half and trains Anakin. How different does the Star Wars universe turn out?

Anakin would follow the rules more.

I like the idea from either Filoni or Witwer that "Duel of the Fates" foremost includes the fate of Anakin. Since Qui-Gon died, he was sort of destined to become Vader.

I feel Qui Gon would have been a bit better as a master.

Anakin would not fall to Dark Side, Qui-Gon trains the boy better than Kenobi, Dooku won't be joining Sidious, Order 66 would happen nonetheless, Jedi would be completely wiped out.

Maybe Qui Gon turns b/c Obi Wan dies?

Star Wars would have been a lot more boring.

Qui-gon would be a perfect teacher for anakin .
much better than obi-wan was . he would be a father figure for skywalker not just older brother kinda guy .
he also is similar to anakin in a sense he doesn´t like to blindly follow the rules of the order .

anakin probably wouldn´t fall to the dark side .
jinn would not hide answers and informations about the force from anakin .
by the time of RoTS anakin would be even more powerful and much more mentally stable .
maybe he would utilize vaapad instead of djem-so or the combination of the two .
when enraged he would switch to vaapad .
him and windu would go together and finish sidious in his office .

Sidious would try to eliminate Qui-Gon.

Maul would still come back though, but he would want revenge on Qui-Gon instead. How does Maul's story turn out?
