Darth Thanaton vs Kit Fisto

Round 1 - Pure lightsaber duel and physical combat

Round 2 - Pure Force battle without physical combat or lightsabers

Round 3 - All out

Thanaton kicks, good fight.

Fisto is obviously a far better duelist, while Thanaton is the superior force user. Kit wins the lightsaber-only part and possibly all out ( thanks to his greater speed) while thanaton wins the force-only round.

The thing is, I never said Thanaton is stronger in the force, he’s a superior force user because he has abilities Kit cannot hope to counter, like his lighting storms. In fact, What you are saying is true . Kit has much better speed feats, like briefly defending himself from Sidious while under the effects of his dark haze, or blitzing magnaguards.

Reasons for Fisto being stronger in the Force than Thanaton?

If we go under the assumption that speed is an indicator of one’s power than Fisto is more powerful. Otherwise, there’s no piece of scaling that can be used to compare the two, at least as far as I know.

There is Fisto pulling apart that massive sea creature made of a massive number of 1 m long organisms

Not sure what Thanaton has so can't comment.

Fisto should solidly best Thanaton in a duel. Thanaton shreds in the Force round and wins all-out. Fisto can't hope to compete with him in the Force department.

^ This. Thanaton's Force advantage is too much for Fisto's swordsmanship to compensate.

Thanaton is decades more powerful in his prime than he was against Exal Kressh, who scales solidly beyond the Child of the Emperor who tanked and then instantly ragdolled ACT2 Barsen'thor with Force lightning. Barsen'thor at this point is far more powerful than Vivicar who had the energy reserves of hundreds of Jedi Masters whom he simultaneously dominated the minds of; could dominate the mind of Yuon Par casually, a Master who Nomi Sunrider deemed too powerful to be controlled; was far more powerful than the incarnation responsible for a system-wide dark side nexus; and could spread a plague across the galaxy that could infect Jedi Masters of any strength and dominate them.

Thanaton steamrolls.
