Darth Vader vs Anakin Skywalker

Ok everyone and their mother knows who wins in a vs fight. So here's a twist.
Who is the better character?
I'd say Vader dumps on Anakin in this regard. Looks more cool, more badass and intelligent. He also had a more consistent and compelling character arc from 4-6 than Anakin did in 1-3.

Darth Vader is relatively mature and polished irrespective of his alignment.
Darth Vader in Episode 5 is one of the finest villains.

In terms of whats in the movies obviously Vader. In terms of characters it's a lot to cover for one person but I prefer Anakin's original portrayal in Legends and his transition from his AOTC to ROTS self as portrayed in the multimedia project.

Agreed but the thing that lets Anakin down was seeing him as a child in episode 1. He was a bit cringe (obviously not Jake Lloyd's fault though)

I agree with this tbh. I still prefer suited Vader as a character but Matthew Stover's Anakin is one beast of a character and I wish we saw that version in the films. I think Hayden could've easily pulled it off.

I would've preferred if the comic had put Vader in Anakin's body earlier and made a Zonakin moment where he tears through all of the council Jedi instead of having him be this walking glowstick.
