OP didn't specify stipulations mind you. The Ysalamir protects the Trooper and the Disruptor Rifle is basically a one shot kill weapon and a 300 meter distance from an expert sniper isn't going to be any huge issue to make. The high point distance, gives enough of an overview to the target.

That's doubtful considering The Force would probably alert Maul to someone approaching him in that manner.

Well of course things would have to drastically be in Lars' favor for this to even be feasible. Since the OP didn't specify any stipulations, you can practically come up with any scenario in a way to kill Maul.
