Vader vs Vader

It has recently... come to my attention(?) that Vader, after seeing his son's cry for help and suffering, alongside his conflicted emotions, gained power unreachable to him in almost all other circumstances. It seems that after making up his mind of going towards the light side of the force, he may have likely kept some of said power, if not all of it. On the other hand, we have Anakin before he became Vader, the half man, half machine. 

Neither are hindered by anything, but are strengthened by their emotions. Anakin is a dark side, who believes that by letting Luke, not only will he lose the power he has now, he will also lose Padme (she dies during childbirth). Vader knows that Anakin will want to kill Luke no matter, and he is ready to kill him if need be.
