Would the Sequel Trilogy have been better if Snoke was Darth Plagueis instead of a puppet of Palpatine?

Even before TFA was released, it was speculated that Snoke is Darth Plagueis for various reasons, and people continued to cling onto that fan theory even after Snoke got bisected in TLJ. This guy wrote an article of why he thinks TROS should've revealed Snoke as a surviving Darth Plagueis:

Is he right? Would the sequel trilogy have been better if it revealed that Snoke was none other than the Plagueis who wasn't actually killed by Palpatine, but decieved Palpatine into thinking that he died, and that Plagueis reveals himself to be the creator of the Skywalker family?

No, it would have been terrible. It would have been:

1) Fan service. Most casual film goers wouldn't have had a clue who he was,
2) Pointless. Neither Rey nor Ren have any connection with him. Johnson, for all his faults, said it best:

“It would have stopped any of these scenes dead cold if he had stopped and given a 30-second speech about how he’s Darth Plagueis…It doesn’t matter to Rey. If he had done that, Rey would have blinked and said, ‘Who?’ And the scene would have gone on…and I’m not saying he’s Darth Plagueis!”


3) Plagueis is better off not being brought into the sequel trilogy, where they're butcher him.

Absolutely not

No this would have just destroy Plagueis

no for a number of reasons: 

1-it will completly ruin plagueis as a character 
2-it will creat inconsistencies in massive proportions 
3-it would screw up more the sequel trilogy if that was made

Would be better if he willed himself back together in episode 9 and did the palpatine thing, without having a convoluted story of Rey being of that lineage
