Once they arrived on Nathema, they quickly fell under Lord Vitiate's control. He dominated their minds, crushed their resistance. This information doesn't necessarily preclude the idea that Vitiate dominated them. This could be referring to what he said to the sith lords to get them on the planet and then proceeded to telepathically dominate them so that they wouldn't resist once the ritual began.

The Sith agreed to partake in the ritual because they didn't know what it entailed and it was a last ditch effort by them. Don't think they ever consented to having their minds dominated.

Yeah, the two aren't mutually exclusive. The Revan novel also states they agreed to the ritual and came to Nathema. The only difference, of course, is that TOR Encyclopedia leaves out the TP domination but omission isn't contradiction. As for the feat itself I think you can make a case for its legitimacy either way, as Nyriss states that she can't 100% guarantee her story is true, though given that she gets all of the other details right there is a likelihood she is correct.

Although, despite the above I'd be hesitant to back an entire case for Vitiate's TP on that feat, as there simply isn't enough evidence to conclude it actually happened, and the fact that it's not mentioned in TOR Encyclopedia is rather suspect. I suppose you could argue authorial intent (e.g. the passage is meant to provide the reader with information, so why outright just make shit up that didn't happen), or argue that Nyriss seems to view it as 100% within Vitiate's capabilities to be able to do something like that (she accepts the story as legit), though once again I don't think either are concrete arguments and there is definitely room for discussion.

back in the day every scrub capable of moving a grain of sand with his hand gestures ,
or create little "sparks" in his hands called himself a sith lord imo ...
just as in PT era every half gifted force sensitive called himself a "jedi knight" or "jedi master" .
arrogance with no skill to back it up .
quality should always be over quantity .
someone who holds the tittle of jedi master in PT era should be able to rival sidious or at least give him somewhat decent fight before he falls ,
instead 3 high council members are basically fodder to him .
so if you are the most powerful being of your era dominating 8000 fodder minds or so called "sith lords" is not as impressive as it may seems .
not trying to lowball this feat , just taking the title "sith lord" of those 8K dark siders with a grain of salt .

I'd give it to Sidious.
A number of Valkorion's best showing were done with prep and external amplifications. The Dread's power being "insignificant" to Valkorion can help bridge the gap if the quote included telepathic power tho, however.

Also, Nyriss account of the event is not to be taken at face value.
IIRC, she was waaaay off regarding the amount of Sith that partook in the ritual [she recounted them in the hundreds, which is far from the truth] so, she could have been wrong in regards to the mental donination as well.

That feat was debunked eons ago. If you go by Nyriss' account, there were only 100 Sith, in which case it's only a Lord Kaan-tier feat. It's the Encyclopedia and the codex that later say it was 8000, but neither of those sources mention any mindrape. They're all in-universe sources too - Nyriss even comments she can't verify the story.
