Dooku based on his performances against Yoda is well out of Jadus's ballpark.

Anyway the order doesn't really matter, because as far as I'm concerned Vader and Dooku are completely interchangeable

Completely interchangeable? We have Vader struggling with ESB Luke and being stalemated by Old Ben versus Dooku shit stomping AOTC Anakin, holding off AOTC Yoda and ragdolling ROTS Kenobi. In what universe are they on par?

Yeh sure looked like he was struggling alright.
Dooku never stomped AOTC Anakin. Anakin lost the duel, but it wasn't a complete shitstomp by any imagination. They dueled for over a minute, and Dooku solidly beat him.
I will respond to your other points, when I have the energy.

The script says Vader was forced onto the defensive in the initial exchange of the fight and that he was driven back again later. Luke even manages to clip him on the shoulder at the end of the fight despite being exhausted. That overrules whatever secondary interpretation you have of the fight being a stomp.

you wanna debate this? I have a post to make, but this ESB Luke myth needs to die. If you accept I will be formally posting a thorough examination of the fight in a small blog series, that we can discuss in the comments

I hope you know that a script doesn't always translate to what is shown on screen.NotAA3 wrote:The script says Vader was forced onto the defensive in the initial exchange of the fight and that he was driven back again later. @Flunky Cyborg
There's nothing to debunk as it's not a myth. All objective evidence points to Luke being able to put up a solid fight against Vader and your bias analysis won't change that.
@SithSauce
True, but in this case the script aligns with the choreography. Not to mention the events I mentioned are also adapted into the adult novel.

When they fought, [Vader] had also tried to strike the boy down, but that had been merely a test. Had he been able to kill Luke easily, Luke would not have been worth the effort to recruit. But although he had certainly attempted to defeat Luke, the boy had held his own. Despite Vader's superior skill, despite his experience, Luke had survived with no more damage than an easily repaired amputated hand.
The meeting had made Vader feel, not a normal occurrence lately. There had been the thrill at meeting a worthy opponent and pride that the one so strongly opposing him was his own son.
Vader smiled into the darkness surrounding him. Obi-Wan had not told Luke that Anakin Skywalker had become Darth Vader. Luke's anger at the man who had slain his teacher had been potent, had allowed the dark side to claim him. If Vader hadn't broken that anger with fear and confusion by telling the boy he was his father, Luke could have defeated him.

Just some food for thought.

Yeh the guy who wrote that sucks. Either that or he just had a high opinion of Luke. Either way, could not help but cringe. People are taking that line out of context. Basically what Vader is saying aligns perfectly with what we see Darth Bane and Sidious and even Vader with Galen Marek. Sith don't do tap outs, and they don't play nice, so Vader is trying to kill luke trying to test to make sure if he is worthy to actually be his apprentice. Vader is making sure luke isn't helpless, doesn't mean he's going all out.
