Vindican scales with the sith empire which is generally more powerful than the stagnated Brotherhood of darkness which scales pretty far below the banite line, Vindican likely knew a lot of the ancient sith teachings that Bane had to rediscover that the brotherhood didn’t know, based on the time he was alive.

The difference is Kopecz was ranked high in the BoD, he was second to Kaan. Vindican wasn't ranked high in the Sith Empire and was likely just an average or slightly below average Sith.
There's also nothing to suggest he knew any ancient Sith teachings.

Also didn't BoD have ancient Sith teachings? I seem to remember Bane find some of Revan's teachings within the library of the Sith academy.

They had very few but most had been lost, Kaan still far exceeded every member of the BoD and then Bane FARR exceeded Kaan and Vindican likely scales above the Banite line. Someone who’s impressive in the BoD likely isn’t that impressive in the grand scheme of things

How does Vindican scale above the Banite line? He has extremely weak lightning and was speed blitzed by Kao. Bane dwarfs him a lot.
