Stops at 4 imo, though I have to say Marek is more powerful than Kun. Kun's arsenal and experience should give him the edge though.

I'd disagree with Starkiller being that much above Kun in raw power, given that via scaling: TOTJ Kun > JA Kun > Kueller > BFC Luke >> Crushing Vader's fortress and rebuilding it within seconds.

Kun's versatility, experience, etc will play major factors, but Kun should be able to compete rather effectively in terms of raw power.

The problem is that Kueller isn’t above Luke. It’s stated in the lore that would have been no match had it not been for the circumstances at play:

Skywalker and Organa Solo were left to face Kueller. He should not have been a match for either of them, but powered by his rage and with Skywalker still wounded, Kueller got the better of them.

Fair enough, but either way, Kun should be above BFC Luke at this point.

Not necessarily. Kun did not overwhelm Luke because was more powerful but rather because of specific circumstances, such as Luke’s lack of knowledge of his force techniques, Luke’s mental state and so on. In fact:

To his surprise, Kun recognizes the leader to be the same man that visited Yavin Four years earlier, more powerful in the force. Too powerful for the moment for Kun to handle.
Jedi Academy Sourcebook
I mean it is nonetheless impressive for Kun but I don’t think he is more powerful than Luke.

If you think I missed something that indicates Kun>Luke (i’m not too knowledgeable on that fight) feel free to bring it up.

Specters of the Past wrote:There in front of him, starkly visible against the blackness of space, he could see the faint images of Emperor Palpatine and Exar Kun, two of the greatest focal points of the dark side he’d ever had to face. They were standing there before him, gazing back at him. And laughing.

New Rebellion wrote:She [Leia] wished she had the same certainty. This Kueller had more Force capability than anyone she had encountered in years. Except Exar Kun, and he had been a spirit. Kueller was alive.

He was using these deaths to replenish his own well of hatred. The dark side ate people from within, but while it did so, it gave them too much power.

He appeared to have more power than she had. More power than Luke.

New Rebellion wrote:The presence had neared. It was strong in the dark side. He could feel the ripples, feel a power he hadn't felt in a living being since he encountered the Emperor. Luke had never had a student that powerful, of that he was certain.

New Rebellion wrote:She raised her head. She was stunning, he had to give her that, with her bright green eyes, and red, almost auburn, hair. A woman to respect. A woman that no one ever should tamper with. "I haven't felt power like this since Palpatine in the early days. If this continues, Han, Kueller will be stronger than the Emperor ever was, and he'll do it quicker."

"So you're not here for Luke after all." She swallowed. "It may be too late for Luke. I'm here for the rest of us."
Just some stuff about it.

The only one that states Kueller>Luke is the 2nd one, and it’s from Leia’s point of view. As such i’m unconvinced it overrides a supplementary source, which has more unbiased point of view on the matter. This is especially true when you consider the fight, in which Luke, despite his tremendous injuries and Kueller’s rage empowering him, was still able to hold his own. As for both Kun and Kueller, won’t deny that both were threats in their own right, but it didn’t have to do only with their power.

As if we needed more proof that the NJO era is a convoluted, contradictory mess.

OT: 4 or 5.

SK isn't overrated. Barely noone likes the character. It is normal for you to say that since you rank Vader sub Qui-Gon.

First, What we were referencing is the NR era. And honestly I wouldn’t call it a mess. Calling it that way is the typical excuse of someone who doesn’t want to get into it.

I was largely joking, but yes it is pretty messy. If you can't stay consistent and clarify something clearly, that's a convoluted narrative. Contradictory writing that results in huge confusion is poor storytelling.

That happens with every single era. The lack of consistency is not within the books themselves but between the primary material and supplementary sources.

Greater raw power and environmental feats. Also, being above Vader to a degree that I don't think Plagueis is.
