Scourge is just personal bias and bullshit. 
HoT as of Act III never beats Malgus, it takes the Barsen'thor, Meteor, and Voidhound. 
If Kulvax is to be believed, the Imp protagonists too. 

Malgus literally pushes the HoT far away without a gesture.

A) Scourge is assessing who'd be the best choice to take Vitiate, that's not personal bias lol. Dismissing statements on the grounds that they're in universe is a poor methodology and achieves little in the way of productivity.

B) Malgus losing to a strike team is one of many available options. One such option is beating him individually in spite of fighting through an army just prior.

C) Malgus force pushing the HOT doesn't indicate superiority. You'd reach pretty zany conclusions with that logic (Literally every example in the mythos we have contradicts the idea that landing a force push that does fuck all means something).

Malgus Landing a powerful force push without a gesture, shows the ability to break through barriers, and it takes a lot to break through a weak barrier.

A) The HOT never attempts to defend himself, and was clearly unprepared. There's no evidence he had a barrier of any kind. Moreover Malgus still lost, him landing a force push doesn't change that.

B) Malgus does gesture...
