We got confirmation that Hord's form of choice was Makashi in the new SWTOR leaks.

I'm more interested in why/how Hord is being mentioned like this in the new content.

Given how keen TOR has been on swiping KotOR 2 under the rug, it's refreshing to see it acknowledged every now and then.

This expansion is looking more promising than anything they've cooked up since launch. The ancient Sith have always interested me so hopefully we'll get more lore like this on them.

Is this a new type of item? Looks interesting.

It's a new class of items, "Tactical Items" that modify class abilities for added customization.
