Well of course things would have to drastically be in Lars' favor for this to even be feasible. Since the OP didn't specify any stipulations, you can practically come up with any scenario in a way to kill Maul.

Well yeah in a non canon scenario and he was already disarmed and at the mercy of Obi-Wan. That would be one of those heavily favored scenarios of killing Maul here, note the question is who can kill. Doesn't mean they have to do so in a fight at all.
