Who is the Outlander?

The Outlander: your character’s past will be a key part of their identity as the Outlander moving forward. The choices you’ve made, romances you’ve pursued, your class, etc are all a part of who your character is, and those decisions will be honored in KOTFE; often in unexpected ways. How that works for characters who are created at level 60 is something we’ll dive into in the future, but we will not be setting a “canon” version of any class or world storyline. Your choices matter – that’s at the heart of our storytelling philosophy at BioWare.

For debating purposes, he's the HoT. It's all but confirmed that he's the Outlander.

I’m kinda hoping it’d be the Sith Warrior, mainly because it’d be different than having yet another Jedi be the Hero.

All advertising, promo, BTS, etc portray the Outlander as the HoT or (very rarely) the EW, so it's one of the two, even if Boyd refuses to confirm it to avoid alienating part of the playerbase.

Yes and no. BW won't confirm it, true, but narrative intent and every promo, BTS and trailer barring 2 have the Outlander as the HoT, and even then, they have them in it. It's heavily implied.

It's also worth noting that Charles hasn't been lead writer for years, IIRC.

There are no canonically defined story paths and no single protagonist is canonically defined as the Outlander. Everything is equally valid from a canon point of view. We just typically assume the Hero for debating purposes.

Why not also the Warrior? Still I guess it would make sense, though The Outlander being the Sith Warrior would make for an interesting angle, instead of the expected Jedi Master.

Because the HoT is the most consistent with the narrative, has the longest history with Vitiate/Valkorion and was stated to be seen in a vision by Scourge to be his destroyer.

The SW has a long history with the Emperor as well with his Wrath and visions are not always so clear at times.

I'm not sure I'd trust a random website, plus that could just mean it's going off of a storyline that isn't the Wrath, doesn't say it's the Hero either there.

But hey I can dream, it's most likely not gonna be the Wrath and instead gonna be the typical Jedi Master come to save the day.

Scourge's vision of the Knight "wearing the emperor's crown" and "wielding the emperor's power" sort of makes him the obvious choice.  Though BioWare obviously won't specify an official class for the Outlander for fear of alienating the other 7/8ths of their player base.

Probably would have said "the returned Wrath's Alliance" if that were intended.
