it was a big tent, i wont deny that, but it was a tent nonetheless. didnt malak overpower the forge 3x, something that not even the exiles together could do?

Need I remind you Karpyshyn has no canonical authority? Like explicitly in that statement, he says he can’t decide that kind of thing. What kind of argument is that? @Corvinus

Which gives him canonical authority why? Should we declare that Nihilus < Revan because Avellone said so? Because we have random authors saying things they’re automatically canon? In the FAQ on his site, when asked who would win, Bane, Revan, or Vader, Karpyshyn explicitly states “Seriously, I can’t answer this. First, it’s not really up to me to make that kind of call.” Read the last sentence in that... “it’s not really up to me to make that kind of call”. Outside of the text, nobody bar Lucas and sometimes Chee (sometimes) has any authority whatsoever.

@IG He's not a random author though, he's the author who wrote the books about these two characters. So what if he can't "officially" give a definitive statement on it.

It matters because that's evidence thrown out. It has no canonical value. I mean, so what if he's an author? Avellone made a game with Nihilus and Revan, does that give him authority over who's more powerful? Likewise, Luceno has no authority on who'd win between Plagueis and Sidious, Karen Traviss has no authority on Jacen Solo, no author has any canonical authority. Per the Canon Hierarchy we use in this forum, the only author whose words (spoken or in notes/interviews) are canon is Lucas.

@IG You're just repeating yourself now. if you want to go by feats or accolades, Bane is still far above Malak and much closer to prime Revan.

That’s completely untrue. You’ve yet to prove Bane is even scarcely comparable to Revan, as Karpyshyn’s words mean nothing, and made a baseless claim that Bane is far above Malak and near Prime Revan.

IG you are being really hypocritical based on the fact you used Stewart's quote very recently 

No, I used it as supplementary evidence that ties together a string of evidence that shows my position. I also used it because it clarified his writing, not power levels, something that authors cannot decide.

Drew has said Bane versus "Darth Revan" is "a tie" back before he even wrote the Revan novel, but his reasoning wasn't that the characters are equally matched. Rather, "it really depends on the situation. You can probably find rule books for various Star Wars role-playing games that will give you stats allowing you to compare relative strength. But from an artistic and dramatic standpoint, this kind of question has no “right” answer. Each character has strengths and weaknesses, and they grow and change as their stories progress. On any given day, at any given time, under any given circumstance anyone can win or lose. That’s what dramatic conflict is all about."
