Anyway, since Jerec has almost nothing to his name save for an over the top, romanticised quote, Maul slaughters.

He has more than that, but yeah his combat feats aren't up to par with Maul's own.

IIRC, he's sub-Kyle Katarn without the amp, so when I say "almost nothing to his name", I mean that would give him a chance against Maul.

According to action figure stuff, Jango Fett is above the Jedi on Geonosis, including Windu. Boba is better than his father, probably, and pre-Jedi Kyle beat Boba in 1 ABY. Kyle then began as a Jedi Novice and was a prodigy by the time he got to Jerec.
Thus, Jerec >/=/< Novice Katarn > Pre-Jedi Katarn > Boba >/= Jango > AoTC Windu. Case closed.

@Blade_Of_Dorin Even if we cite Resurrection, Maul only demonstrated superior skill over ANH Vader, they never had a Force battle, so Maul gets no scaling from ANH Vader.

The quote is also very over-the-top, and there's no real reference for it.

Can someone give me a quick summary of the arguments against the Jerec quote, cause I see a lot of unsubstantiated claims being thrown around?
