That's fair, but the power increase Kun experienced as a result of the ritual is completely unquantifiable. I don't think its enough to overcome the enormous power gap between Arcann and Physical Kun.

Your right in that its completely unquantifiable, but it was powerful enough to tank the combined force energy of the entire Jedi Order and additionally was the result of absorbing the force energy of at minimum thousands of Massassi force users. 

Given that this should in theory be essentially a scuffed version of the Nathema ritual, and the enormous amp that we see that Vitiate got from it, assuming that Kun started out stronger than Vitiate did, I think the amp should be enough to allow him to seriously contend with Arcann using his superior mastery in areas like Sorcery

Exar Kun is a tier above either. Arcann is quite clearly capped by majorly pre-KOTET prime Outlander.

Caedus just was never as strong as someone like an Exar Kun figure.

Prime Kun absorbed the Force power and life force of thousands of Massassi and Dark Jedi to the point where he went from not being able to stand a chance of facing the combined Jedi Order stated to be in the tens of thousands; including Thon who caged Ambria and the likes of Nomi Sunrider, to being able to tank a combined 'salvo' of light side energy from all of them. Straight up stated to be beyond the order's ability to 'defeat entirely' and is noted to be Kun's proudest moment by Kun himself. That spirit Kun did so is still applicable to physical Kun as it was physical Kun who absorbed the Massassi before powering the ritual to transcend into a spirit that could traverse the cosmos without need of an anchor and retain the power he had in life.

That's genuinely a level of power no one bar pooled Vitiate could replicate among SWTOR.

Before Malak quote spam comes in as a 'reply', I'd note that not only does SWTOR:E hold objectively inferior ancients to Exar Kun, above Malak. But even 2014 Fact Files holds Exar Kun as the strongest dark-sider of the 'new order' or new Sith Empire, which is noted to continue through to the Triumvirate.

Moreover Exar Kun is pretty much undeniably Sheev tier given the no less than eight statements either comparing them or stating Kun's superiority. Mere handwaving via ROTS Sheev quotes that are not only individually less canonically standing than the majority of Kun's but aren't capable of outright retconning harder direct statements.
