Luke Skywalker (FOTJ) & Darth Sidious (DE) vs Knightfall Vader & Yoda (ROTS) - read OP

Force augmentation is allowed but is equalised for all combatants, e.g. Yoda can use it to be a flying gremlin but his speed and strength can only be equal to his opponents, and vice versa.

Who wins in a pure skill match-up? A more experienced Luke and Sidious, or two of the greatest of the PT duelists?

I'm assuming you're also equalizing precognition, Force reserves, etc.

In that case, pure dueling skill likely goes Luke > Anakin >= Yoda > Sidious. Luke is an astounding saber prodigy given his progression in ESB and RotJ mirroring Vader's form and matching him so quickly (without an advantage at the time in actualized Force power). Anakin is said to have the fewest flaws in his form among the PT duelists, and Yoda likely beat Sidious in sabers, especially if you use the RotS script (and Sidious's dueling skill probably declined after RotS). I do feel that the gaps favor team 1 given how quickly Luke seemed to match Vader in skill though.

Either way. Luke is MVP but Anakin and Yoda are both>Sheev.

Why is Luke regarded so highly in duelling skill?

DE Luke’s superiority to Darth Sidious in sabers  impressed me much more than the way Yoda dominated him in RotS. I think Luke will be able to defeat one of the members of the enemy team before Palpatine dies. It is also possible that Sheev’s best physical condition in DE makes him a better duelist than he was in RotS.

Wasn’t the DE Luke thing more of an A-game moment than his base dueling ability?
