TCW Lightsaber Duels Lines
January 10th 2025, 8:32 pm
Description
The Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels was a Wii game released in 2008, around the same time as the first season of the TV show. It is set to take place concurrently with the show’s first season. In it, one “duels” either a CPU opponent or another player, each playing a character from the show. These battles are done in a best-of-three format.
The game is balanced so that any character can reasonably defeat any other character. In each fight, the characters speak to each other. Much of this pertains directly to their fight, and their past history. Interestingly, each line is unique in that they are only repeated in a match between a specific pairing of characters. For example, Obi-Wan will speak none of the lines to Grievous that he would against Count Dooku. This can give us some insight into the dynamics between the characters and how they view each other as fighters. There are thousands of these lines. I found the audio files containing them (site is here). I decided to put in the work to compile a written list of these voice lines for my own reference, but figured some people might also appreciate it if I shared it on the forum as well.
The voice lines are, for the most part, randomly generated according to several potential triggers. These are:
- Intro - as each character greets the other in a cutscene before the match begins.
- Ambient - at any point as the fight is in progress.
- Advantage 1 - the speaking character has just made some positive progress.
- Advantage 2 - the speaking character is close to victory.
- On Victory - the speaking character has won the bout, or is preparing for another round of the match coming off of a victory.
- Disadvantage 1 - progress has been made against the speaker.
- Disadvantage 2 - the speaking character is close to defeat.
- On Defeat - the speaking character has either just lost, or is preparing for another round of the match coming off of a loss.
Linked below will be a post for each of the game’s featured characters. Included from there will be a summary of my interpretation of the game’s perspective on the character as well as links to separate posts for each of their battles (posted separately to avoid overlap), each with a summary of my take on the general dynamic of that matchup.

Why Should We Care About This Game?
Versus Application
Most obviously, the game relates quite closely to our hypothetical battles. Two combatants are thrown against each other in a neutral environment. The characters’ verbal sparring is about as close to our own “who would win” commentary as we get from an official source.
Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels: A Wiiview (Pablo Hidalgo on starwars.com, 2008) wrote:Lightsaber Duels benefits strongly from having the complete voice cast recreate their characters, which are derived from the animation models used in the show. With the show only in its first few episodes, you're going to hear more Anakin, Obi-Wan, Ventress and Dooku in the game than anywhere else. The characters trash talk, with lines of dialogue customized to their opponents. Obi-Wan has some of the best, including one that will resonate with longtime fans who've done their homework: "You perceive the Force as little as a spoon perceives the taste of food." If you recognize that as a line Obi-Wan was originally supposed to say to Vader during their duel in Episode IV, give yourself a million nerd points.
Much of this commentary is influenced by the tide of the battle between characters as the players duel each other (this is most clearly shown by characters trash-talking themselves in mirror matchups, if their copy is losing). However, the intro/ambient voicelines are not influenced by the player-dependent tide of the duel, and as such generally give us a more reliable picture of how the characters compare. There is some value still in the dialogue triggered by an advantage by either character though, particularly whenever it relates to third-party characters. Suspect insights, if you will.
TCW Proximity
Steven Melching, a writer for the TCW TV show (and several issues of its comic spin-off series) is also the writer for all the thousands of lines of dialogue included in the game.
Melching is responsible for the plots of many of the first and most iconic TCW episodes. As George Lucas was most involved with the show early on, this is the most T-Canon stuff in T-Canon. Melching’s TCW credits include:
- TCW Film - theater-released “pilot” for the show, including the reintroduction of film characters and Asajj
- Ventress as well as first-ever introduction of Ahsoka and Rex (co-written with Henry Gilroy and Scott Murphy)
- TCWs1e1 “Ambush” - the first episode of the series proper, Yoda beats up battle droids and Asajj Ventress
- TCWs1e2 “Rising Malevolence” and TCWs1e3 “Shadow of Malevolence” - first proper introduction of Grievous and
- Plo Koon into the series, Malevolence is revealed then crippled
- TCWs1e5 “Rookies” - first clone-focused episode, introduction of Fives and Echo, commando droids attack the Rishi Moon base but are repelled by clone troopers
- TCWs1e8 “Bombad Jedi” - reintroduction of Jar Jar (co-written with Kevin Rubio and Henry Gilroy)
- TCWs1e15 “Trespass” - George Lucas’s species practices imperialism
- TCWs2e19 “The Zillo Beast Strikes Back” - Godzilla in space
- TCWs3e3 “Supply Lines” - Ima-Gun Di dies
- TCWs3e4 “Spheres of Influence” - George Lucas rescues his daughters (co-written with Katie Lucas)
- TCWs3e6 “The Academy” - Ahsoka rescues Satine from the tea cartel (co-written with Katie Lucas)
- TCWs4e11-13 “Kidnapped,” “Slaves of the Republic,” and “Escape from Kadavo” - Ahsoka’s hometown is kidnapped by furries (co-written with Henry Gilroy)
His TCW-peripheral writing credits include:
- TCW Lightsaber Duels - there’s a cool blog about this one!
- TCW Republic Heroes - game released at around the same time, also for Wii and with the show’s full voice cast, bunch of adventures for the Jedi and clones
- TCW #7-9: In Service of the Republic - Plo Koon and Kit Fisto battle Asajj Ventress on Khorm, Plo Koon solos (co-
- written by Henry Gilroy)
- TCW #10-12: Hero of the Confederacy - Count Dooku’s son bashes the Republic fleets (co-written by Henry Gilroy)
- TCW: The Sith Hunters - Obi-Wan Kenobi, Plo Koon, and space Bruce Lee fight Darth Maul and Savage Opress (co-written by Henry Gilroy)
Not only are the lines written by a mainstay of the TCW team, but they are voiced by other significant members of the TCW crew. Every returning character was voiced by their voice actor from the show.

This means:
- Matt Lanter agreed to come to the studio specifically for this game and voice hundreds of lines for Anakin Skywalker
- James Arnold Taylor agreed to come to the studio specifically for this game and voice hundreds of lines for Obi-Wan Kenobi and Plo Koon
- Ashley Eckstein agreed to come to the studio specifically for this game and voice hundreds of lines for Ahsoka Tano

- Nika Futterman agreed to come to the studio specifically for this game and voice hundreds of lines for Asajj Ventress
- Phil LaMarr agreed to come to the studio specifically for this game and voice hundreds of lines for Kit Fisto.
This is a big deal in my view, and lends the game, and more specifically the in-combat dialogue, a lot of credibility as it pertains to the show itself – which is, of course, the highest-authority and highest-visibility content for the Star Wars EU barring the films.
The game’s producer, Ken Fox, describes the game as an expansion of the character development that occurs in the show.
Ken Fox (IGN Interview, 2008) wrote:
Clone Wars for the Wii is all about lightsaber dueling. It's about swinging your Wii remote like a Lightsaber and recreating what we know will be classic Lightsaber battles from the movie and the show. It's also about the character development that happens in Lightsaber Duels. We have one of the main writers from the movie and the series writing and all the voice talent from the series recording over 4000 lines of dialog for the game. So, when you as Obi-Wan versus General Grievous, they will say things to each other that they will never say to any other character. We think this is something that we've never seen in a game like this and is perfect for Star Wars and the Clone Wars franchise in particular.

Pablo Hidalgo acknowledges this in his article on the game, describing it as “EU-friendly.”
Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels: A Wiiview (Pablo Hidalgo on starwars.com, 2008) wrote:Different characters offer a variety in terms of available health and Force ability, and are further differentiated by the combos available to them. Given EU-friendly descriptive names like Jung Ma assault, Tyvokka's Patience and Strength of Soresu, these maneuvers are basically three to four successive directional moves on the remote. In early games, you're likely to stumble upon them by accident, allowing you to act like you meant to do that. But they're powerful and worth learning, because unleashing multiple combos against an enemy just feels great.

Summary
A big deal is made of Ahsoka’s youth. It is both a liability, as she does not have the experience of most of the other fights, and an advantage, as she has quite a bit of speed and agility, and presents a smaller target. Her fighting style is also unconventional, which makes her harder to deal with. That being said, the majority of her duels are framed with the “expected” result being her loss to her opponent, often accompanied by a supposed unbroken losing streak suggested by the dialogue. Taking her age into consideration, Ahsoka is built up to be one of the most prodigious Padawans of her time, and perhaps history.

Summary
Anakin Skywalker’s late training is emphasized quite a bit, but so is his meteoric growth. A great advancement in lightsaber skill from his appearance in AotC is connected with his ascension to the rank of Jedi Knight. A common thread in his duels is that he has the power and skill to keep up with and even defeat the best, but his lack of experience and control often holds him back.

General Grievous to Count Dooku (on victory) wrote:I have done what even your Sith apprentice cannot: defeat you in single combat.
Summary
Asajj is treated as an extremely volatile combatant. She has grown from her appearance in OCW. She trades wins and losses against Grievous, but she has not yet proved herself able to conquer a Jedi Master. Her fighting style is quick and agile, something she is quick to leverage against her opponents, who are usually older and larger than she is.

Summary
Dooku is ranked especially highly based on his finesse and knowledge of the Force. Dooku’s dialogue becomes noticeably more violent as he is losing, reflecting the evil nature beneath the gentlemanly facade. The lines about Dooku being the Order’s greatest loss are echoed throughout, and it is suggested in the majority of his matchups that his victory is the status quo.

Summary
The EG-5 Jedi Hunter is enough to potentially defeat even a skilled Jedi, but faces all the disadvantages inherent in a droid attempting to fight a Jedi. Like Grievous, the EG-5 droid is fast and strong to make up for its lack of Force ability, and has also been trained by Count Dooku. Additionally, it has a knowledge of both the Jedi and Sith forms hardwired into its brain. It seems to be a step up from Grievous’s MagnaGuards as a droid threat to the Jedi.

Summary
Grievous’s reputation as a killer of Jedi knights and masters is challenged by nearly every character he faces, suggesting that he got most of his lightsabers instead from only younglings and Padawans. There are lines to the contrary, but only from Grievous himself. Grievous also claims to have never fled a battle, so he seems to be an unreliable narrator in terms of his battle performances. That being said, he is treated as being beyond anyone else physically, and his warrior past and training by Count Dooku are treated as big reasons for him to be skilled enough to be a threat to even the strongest Jedi.

Summary
Kit Fisto is at this stage a recently appointed Jedi Master and Council member, thanks in large part to his impressive display at the Battle of Geonosis. He is good friends with (and perhaps a former classmate of) Obi-Wan Kenobi, a former (informal) pupil of Plo Koon, and a common pick by Mace Windu for a sparring partner. Kit Fisto’s speed and grace are heavily emphasized. Notably, Kit is one of the few Jedi in the Order to have defeated Mace Windu on not one, but several occasions.

Summary
By reputation, Mace Windu is the most skilled duelist on the Jedi Council, and has a long winning streak against all the other Jedi. Only very few Jedi have beaten him. This number includes Obi-Wan, Kit Fisto, Plo, and likely also Yoda and Dooku. His defense is emphasized as strong, but his offense is even stronger. A big deal is made of his speed and his Vaapad technique.

Summary
Obi-Wan’s past experiences in the films, particularly his training by Qui-Gon, his duel with Darth Maul, his duel with Count Dooku, and his training of Anakin, are heavily emphasized as events that have formed him into one of the best duelists in the Jedi Order. Continuing off of the spars shown in his video game, Lightsaber Duels acknowledges his past victories over Plo Koon and Mace Windu. Besides them, Obi-Wan has running friendly rivalries with Kit Fisto and Anakin, and less friendly rivalries with Grievous and Ventress. An emphasis is placed on his determination to do better against Dooku in their next battle, training up specifically for that purpose.

Plo Koon to Kit Fisto (on first disadvantage) wrote:I sometimes forget that you are no longer a mere student.
Plo Koon to Kit Fisto (on defeat) wrote:Congratulations, Master Fisto! But fear not, I will not allow you to become accustomed to victory.
Summary
Plo Koon’s position as one of the elders of the Jedi Order is brought up very often, both in terms of his age in itself and the wisdom and authority that come with it. He is a teacher first and foremost: even to more experienced Jedi like Fisto and Obi-Wan, he gives them tips on how to overcome him, as he used to in the old days when he’d tutor them as Padawans. Besides the infamous “one of the only Jedi to have beaten Master Yoda” quote, Plo’s dueling prowess is compared to Yoda’s on several other occasions by several other people, both directly and indirectly. Also of note is that he is apparently Mace’s preferred sparring partner (in a world where Mace is seemingly the best Jedi duelist of all), and Dooku is willing to entertain the possibility of Plo being a worthy opponent. Besides being one of the Jedi Order’s foremost duelists, Plo’s Force abilities are made special note of, as in the Expanded Universe, including electric judgment but also his exceedingly strong telepathic abilities.

Ahsoka vs Ahsoka
January 10th 2025, 9:21 pm
Ahsoka
Intro
- Master Skyguy says I shouldn’t beat myself up. But today, I’ll make an exception.
- Oh, swell. Who’s idea was this?
- Ahsoka versus Ahsoka… this should be good.
Ambient
- This reminds me of a dream I had once, after too much blue milk.
- I’ve seen a lot of clones, but this is a first.
- I feel like I could take on the whole droid army myself! You can come too.
- Ugh! I don’t really sound like that, do I?
- I feel like I should be learning something from this…
- This is really weird.
First Advantage
- This is gonna hurt you a lot more than it hurts me… I hope.
- I’m really enjoying this… is that wrong?
- Okay… I can’t win. Because if I win, I lose.
- I was sure I was better than that!
- Master Skyguy’s gonna be disappointed at one of us! But it’s not gonna be me.
- You’re pretty good for a Padawan!
Second Advantage
- You’re not so tough.
- Stop hitting yourself!
- You don’t look so good.
- Where’d you learn to parry?
- My master can fight circles around your master!
- Bet you don’t see this coming!
On Victory
- I always knew I was the best!
- Don’t take it so hard, Padawan. You never stood a chance against me.
- Looks like you’re the one who gets to run maintenance on the Twilight tonight!
First Disadvantage
- I knew you were gonna do that!
- You’ve got style, I’ll give you that.
- Hey! Where’d you learn that move?
- I’m letting you win. You know that, right?
- Ugh! I can’t believe I’m losing to myself.
- I am not gonna lose to you… or, me.
Second Disadvantage
- Go me!
- Hey… I’m good!
- Nice moves, Padawan.
- Ugh! You know all my tricks!
- Hey! Take it easy!
- This is some Jedi mind trick!
On Defeat
- Ugh! I’m never going to let me hear the end of this.
- Laugh while you can, Padawan. You won’t be so lucky next time.
- I’ve never been so humiliated in all my life.
Summary
As in most of the mirror matchups, both Ahsokas are bewildered by having to face a copy of themselves, and both are determined to be the one to win.

Ahsoka vs Anakin
January 10th 2025, 9:44 pm
Ahsoka
Intro
- I’m warning you now, Master… I’m not going easy on you this time.
- Okay, Skyguy. Are you ready to go down to defeat at the hands of your Padawan?
- Let’s go, Skyguy. I’ve been training with six remotes, so you’d better watch yourself.
Ambient
- You should grow a beard, like Master Kenobi.
- What’s the matter? Afraid I might beat you?
- I may not always understand your judgment, Master, but I have learned to trust it.
- Do I still have to face the Trials? Isn’t being your Padawan trial enough?
- I’ll say this… being your Padawan is never boring.
- I’m not overconfident. I’m just good.
First Advantage
- Didn’t see that coming, did you?
- Why so surprised? I had more training at the Jedi Temple than you did.
- Looks like you’ve run out of things to teach me!
- I thought you were supposed to be the Chosen One! Chosen to lose, maybe...
- You’re fighting like a Nebray with indigestion!
- Get your tools ready, Skyguy! Artoo’s got a lot of carbon scoring that needs cleaning.
Second Advantage
- What’s the matter, Skyguy?
- I hope you’re not a sore loser!
- Truthfully, I’ve been more impressed.
- Never underestimate the Padawan.
- It’s more fun to be winning.
- You shouldn’t have trained me so well.
On Victory
- Looks like you’re the one that has to clean Artooie this time!
- Tano beats Skywalker! I’m telling the other Padawans. The younglings, too.
- You are the best mentor a Padawan could have… even though I just wiped the floor with you.
First Disadvantage
- You’re cheating somehow.
- Oh, sure. Pick on your Padawan.
- I was just testing you before. Now, the real fight begins.
- Better get ready, because I’m done fooling around.
- I am mindful! Mindful of how I’m gonna turn this fight around.
- The Master defeating the Padawan. How original.
Second Disadvantage
- This is no way to treat your trusty Padawan.
- Ready to yield to me yet?
- Do you want some more?
- Ugh! I’m better than this!
- You haven’t defeated me yet, Skyguy!
- This Padawan is full of surprises.
On Defeat
- Would it kill you to let me win once in a while? Y’know, for morale?
- Thank you for your guidance and wisdom. I’m going to use it to kick your butt next time.
- You won this time, Skyguy, but your victories are numbered.
Anakin
Intro
- Let’s go, Snips. Loser has to clean Artoo.
- Okay, my young Padawan. Give me everything you got.
- The only way to improve is to fight a more skilled opponent, and I’m the best there is.
Ambient
- You’re a headstrong and frustrating Padawan. This is Obi-Wan’s revenge.
- If you think you’re gonna beat me, you’d better stay on your toes.
- Now I know what it’s like to have someone like me as an apprentice.
- It’s my responsibility to teach, but it’s yours to learn.
- You must learn to listen to your feelings. Trust your instincts.
First Advantage
- Did you forget everything I taught you?
- Don’t give up Ahsoka, I have faith in you.
- You’re not gonna defeat me fighting like that!
- You’re running out of chances to turn this around, Snips.
- You have enthusiasm, Snips, but not experience.
- Remember, if you lose, you’re scraping Mynock droppings off the Twilight’s hull.
Second Advantage
- You can do better than that, Snips!
- Wait for your opening.
- Let the Force guide you.
- Be mindful, Ahsoka.
- Keep yourself in the moment.
- Stay sharp, Snips.
On Victory
- You’re welcome to challenge me again, after you scrape the Twilight’s hull clean of Mynock droppings.
- You need to spend some more time with the training remotes, Snips.
- Notice how I made that look effortless? That’s because it was.
First Disadvantage
- Looks like I’m a better teacher than I thought.
- Don’t let your guard down, Snips. The fight’s not over!
- Okay… so you learned something from my teachings after all.
- I’ll make a Jedi out of you yet, Snips.
- You really paid attention in Master Yoda’s lightsaber class.
- You’re doing great, kid. Don’t get cocky.
Second Disadvantage
- Where’d you pick up that move?
- You’ve learned much, Padawan.
- If I lose, you’re still cleaning Artoo.
- Now’s not the time to lose your concentration.
- I haven’t taught you all my tricks!
- Anything can happen, Snips.
On Defeat
- Well done, Ahsoka. You’ll be ready to face the Trials in no time.
- Good match, Snips. You see what happens when you learn from the best?
- Let’s… not tell Obi-Wan about this, okay?
Summary

Ahsoka vs Asajj
January 10th 2025, 9:52 pm
Ahsoka
Intro
- Look what the Nexu dragged in.
- You couldn’t defeat my master, and you’re not gonna defeat me either.
- I’ve been looking forward to this, you hairless hag.
Ambient
- You make me sick, you bald-headed banshee.
- Your dark side powers don’t frighten me.
- Underestimate my skills at your peril, bog-witch.
- I don’t need my master to help defeat you, Sith witch.
- Master Kenobi says you’re not even a true Sith.
- You’re nothing more than Count Dooku’s bald bootlicker.
First Advantage
- Get it through your thick, bald head: you’re not gonna defeat me.
- You can’t outfight me, you old crone!
- Don’t worry, none of the Jedi Padawans can beat me either.
- You don’t deserve mercy, you hairless harpy.
- Count Dooku should know better than to send a lackey.
- Guess the dark side isn’t so powerful after all, is it?
Second Advantage
- Try again, you hairless harpy.
- I’m Jedi enough to finish you, assassin.
- Think fast, you bald-headed hag.
- Lay down your sword.
- I thought the Sith would be more impressive.
- I warned you, but did you listen?
On Victory
- I thought the Sith were made of stronger stuff.
- Looks like Dooku needs a new toady.
- Is that the best you can do? No wonder the Sith have been hiding for so long.
First Disadvantage
- Any fear you sense is your own, Sith. Fear that you will fall to this “child.”
- I’ve made peace with the Force. Have you?
- Your backworld training is no match for Jedi skills!
- I’ll make you pay for your foul treachery!
- Gloat all you want. We’ll see who’s laughing when you’re my prisoner.
- I still have plenty of fight left, you plug-ugly bog-witch.
Second Disadvantage
- This is so humiliating.
- Go back to whatever sewer you crawled out of!
- You’re pretty good for a miserable wretch.
- You won’t defeat me, you diseased cur.
- I should be beating you!
- This isn’t how it’s supposed to go!
On Defeat
- The next Jedi you face won’t be a Padawan. My master will crush you.
- Enjoy your victory while it lasts, you dark side dirtbag.
- You have no idea what you’re up against. The Sith don’t stand a chance.
Asajj
Intro
- If it isn’t Skywalker’s filthy, obnoxious pet.
- The Jedi must be getting desperate to send a child.
- This is going to be a short fight, youngling.
Ambient
- I was once young, too.
- Filthy little womp rat.
- Foolish child.
- You are not worthy of my attention.
- The Jedi sent you to oppose me? I should be insulted.
- You belong in the Jedi Temple, not on the battlefield.
First Advantage
- It’s just you and me this time, little one.
- I was hoping for a challenge.
- I’ve had enough of your insolence.
- You lost this battle the moment you ignited your lightsaber.
- How many pieces shall I carve you into?
- Come back when you’ve received more training, youngling.
Second Advantage
- Now you fall, as all Jedi must.
- This is the end, child.
- Your master should be ashamed.
- Poor little Padawan.
- You will not survive, Jedi filth.
- Surely you can do better.
On Victory
- You are beaten, little one.
- The Padawan falls. Now, I will defeat your master.
- You were a fool to challenge me, child.
First Disadvantage
- Your luck won’t last forever, child.
- Stand down, and I’ll give you a cookie.
- Perhaps I underestimated you.
- Tenacious little Padawan.
- Don’t think you can defeat me, little one.
- You have a big mouth, youngling.
Second Disadvantage
- You obnoxious little brat!
- Togruta slime!
- You disgust me!
- This fight isn’t over.
- I can sense your fear.
- This can’t be happening!
On Defeat
- Finish me! I do not deserve to live.
- You were lucky today, Togruta filth.
- We will meet again, child.
Summary
Asajj is insulted that someone of Ahsoka’s young age and rank would be sent to fight her. A reason given for Ahsoka’s potential advantage is that Ahsoka was trained at the Jedi Temple, while Asajj’s training by Ky Narec was comparatively unstructured. A reason given for Asajj’s potential advantage is Ahsoka’s lack of experience, not yet being a Jedi Knight.

Ahsoka vs Dooku
January 10th 2025, 10:00 pm
Ahsoka
Intro
- Come to do your own dirty work this time, Count?
- If you think this is gonna be easy, you’ve got another thing coming, Dooku.
- What are you waiting for, Count?
Ambient
- I’m not afraid of you, old man.
- My master trained me to defeat you.
- There’s nothing lower than a traitor.
- The only fear you sense is your own.
- It takes more than a dusty old fossil to intimidate me, Count.
- Do you really think you can defeat the Republic with a bunch of droids?
First Advantage
- You should’ve sent your bog-witch!
- Some Sith Lord you are! Can’t even defeat a little Padawan.
- No wonder the Sith could never conquer the galaxy!
- You should’ve stayed one of the Lost Twenty, Dooku!
- I don’t look like much, but I’ve got it where it counts.
- You started this war. I’m gonna help finish it.
Second Advantage
- Face it. You’re too old for this, Count.
- I was trained by the best!
- Your age is showing.
- How’s it feel to be losing to a Padawan?
- Not looking good, is it, Count?
- I can hear your bones creaking!
On Victory
- You’re finished, Count! Your bog-witch assassin is next.
- So this is how it ends for the mighty Count Dooku. Defeated by a Padawan.
- It’s over, Dooku. Maybe the Sith can try again in another thousand years.
First Disadvantage
- Why did I think I could take on a Sith Lord by myself?
- Don’t play the gentleman, Dooku. We both know you’re scum.
- I will never surrender to you, Count, and neither will the Jedi!
- Maybe I should’ve waited for Anakin…
- For some reason, I thought this would be easier.
- Jedi Padawan versus Sith Lord… uh, yeah. That’s a fair fight.
Second Disadvantage
- How is this fair?
- I admit it. You know how to use a lightsaber.
- I’m small, but I’m tough, Count.
- Way to gloat over beating a Padawan.
- This is your last chance to surrender.
- Never “Count” the Padawan out.
On Defeat
- The Jedi will defeat both you and your hairless harpy.
- Quite a victory, Count. I hope you’re proud of yourself.
- You haven’t seen the last of me, Count.
Dooku
Intro
- If you challenge me, youngling, you must be prepared to pay the ultimate price.
- I suggest you lay down your sword now, young Padawan.
- The Jedi must truly be desperate to send a child to face me.
Ambient
- That lightsaber is not a toy, child.
- Just because you are young does not mean I will spare you.
- So, you are Skywalker’s Padawan.
- This is no battle simulation, Padawan.
- I sense great fear in you, Padawan.
- You’ve been led astray by the Jedi, my dear.
First Advantage
- My Jedi powers are far beyond yours, little one.
- You’re every bit as foolish as your master.
- You’ll require a great deal more training, my very young Padawan.
- You have delusions of adequacy, little one.
- It’s a tragedy what passes for “Jedi” these days.
- I suggest you withdraw now, if you wish to leave with all of your parts intact.
Second Advantage
- You cannot hope to defeat me.
- You’re a waste of my time, child.
- You will not receive mercy from me, Padawan.
- You’re not as strong as you boast, little one.
- You are about to learn your final lesson, Padawan.
- If you wish to live as a Jedi, then you will also die as a Jedi.
On Victory
- Skywalker should have known better than to send his Padawan against me.
- You should have stayed in the Jedi Temple, youngling.
- Your sacrifice was in vain, young one. Soon, all of your Jedi brethren will join you in defeat.
First Disadvantage
- Your abilities are crude, but effective.
- You deceive yourself, Padawan. You cannot win this fight.
- Your bravado is amusing. Pity it’s no substitute for swordsmanship.
- I wasn’t expecting a challenge from you. So much the better.
- This duel has been surprisingly invigorating. But now, I must bring it to a close.
- Skywalker once thought he could defeat me. You’re familiar with what happened to him.
Second Disadvantage
- This is not possible!
- You have some power, after all.
- You have surprising skill, little one.
- I’ve rarely seen such ability in one so young.
- Skywalker is a skillful teacher.
- Your insolence will not buy you a quick death, Padawan.
On Defeat
- Savor your victory while you can, my young Padawan.
- My defeat will only prolong the inevitable, young one.
- You overestimate your power if you think you can destroy the Sith, child.
Summary
Dooku, like Asajj, is bewildered at the Jedi’s choice to send Ahsoka after him. Reasons given for Ahsoka’s potential advantage is her natural talent and Skywalker’s training, her unorthodox fighting style, and Dooku’s own advanced age. Reasons given for Dooku’s potential advantage is in power and mastery of the Force, far greater experience, and a decline in Jedi standards for swordsmanship.

Ahsoka vs EG-5
January 11th 2025, 2:33 am
Ahsoka
Intro
- Hope you’re better with a lightsaber than your battle droid pals are with a blaster.
- Swell. Another droid to scrap.
- So, you’re the new model. Looks like the same old junk to me.
Ambient
- You don’t look so tough.
- Let’s go, Scrappy.
- You’re nothing but a tinny with a superiority complex.
- I’d like to meet your maker… and introduce him to my lightsaber.
- How many pieces do you think I can slice you into before they hit the ground?
- I hope Dooku got the extended warranty.
First Advantage
- Were you programmed for failure?
- Did someone leave your restraining bolt on?
- Was your memory erased? You can’t beat a Jedi.
- I’ve junked battle droids with better programming than you.
- Do you have a harder difficulty setting or something?
- You’ve got all the grace of a power droid.
Second Advantage
- Time to hit the oil baths, clanker.
- Your parts are showing…
- Some battle droid you are.
- Heads up, Greasy.
- You’re leaking all over the place, Scrappy.
- I think you’ve got a loose wire.
On Victory
- Looks like it’s back to the drawing board, Scrappy.
- When they built you, I think they left out a few parts.
- Never send a droid to do a Sith Lord’s job.
First Disadvantage
- I take back what I said. You’re not so bad after all.
- These droids are getting worse all the time.
- For a killer droid, you sure talk an awful lot.
- You droids are all the same. You always underestimate the Jedi.
- I’m gonna junk you so bad, even a Jawa won’t salvage you.
- You’ve got a faulty processor if you think you can beat me.
Second Disadvantage
- Was it something I said?
- Switch off, Sparky!
- You are one mean droid.
- Not so fast, Greasy.
- I can’t believe I’m losing to a droid!
- No lousy clanker is gonna beat me!
On Defeat
- You may have the programming to beat a Padawan, but a Jedi Knight’s another story.
- Without the Force on your side, you’ll never defeat the Republic.
- I hope you rust.
Summary
Ahsoka doesn’t take the Jedi Hunter droid seriously at all unless she is losing. Reasons for Ahsoka’s potential advantage are the droid’s lack of Force ability, lack of finesse, and conformity to droid programming. Reasons for the Jedi Hunter droid’s potential advantage are its skill and speed.

Ahsoka vs Grievous
January 11th 2025, 2:40 am
Ahsoka
Intro
- I’m ready for you this time, Grievous.
- General Grievous. Part Kaleesh, part droid, all creep.
- You don’t know the kind of trouble you just stepped into, Grievous.
Ambient
- Your droid army isn’t here to help you this time.
- You don’t scare me, General Grumpus.
- Ugh! I can see your guts!
- Bring enough lightsabers, Grumpy?
- The name’s Ahsoka Tano. I’m the one who slices up all your droids.
- Don’t judge me by my size, Grievous. It’ll be the last mistake you ever make.
First Advantage
- You can do better than that. You’ve got four arms!
- Not so tough now, are ya, you walking scrap pile?
- You’re outta luck, Wheezy. I don’t see any escape pods.
- You’ve got guts, but no brains.
- I’ll give you a merciful death, which is more than you deserve.
- What’s the matter? Too quick for you?
Second Advantage
- You’ll never live this down, creep.
- Nice try, Wheezy.
- You lowlife scum.
- Not bad, for a child.
- I’m Jedi enough to finish you, Grievous!
- Dooku’s gonna need a new flunky.
On Victory
- Four lightsabers, no chance. With five, you might’ve given me a decent fight.
- Told ya you didn’t stand a chance, Grumpy. But did you believe me?
- The plucky Padawan triumphs over the nasty droid general, as expected.
First Disadvantage
- You’re not bad, for a droid.
- Pick on someone your own size, Grumpy!
- I don’t know how I’m gonna get out of this one.
- Keep laughing, Wheezy! The fight’s not over yet.
- It takes more than an overbuilt binary loadlifter to scare me!
- Give me a couple of extra arms and we’ll see who laughs last!
Second Disadvantage
- Proud of yourself yet?
- Cheater.
- Sorry, still not scared.
- I can keep this up all day!
- Not defeated yet, keep trying.
- Is this the best you can do?
On Defeat
- One Jedi down, thousands more to go. Yeah, good luck with that.
- You won’t have my lightsaber for long, Grievous.
- Tell the truth. You stole all your lightsabers from Padawans and younglings, didn’t you?
Grievous
Intro
- I will cut you into so many pieces, the Jedi will need a microscanner to identify your remains.
- This should be amusing. Come to your death, little one.
- Greetings, Jedi… or should I say, youngling?
Ambient
- Run along and find your master. I could use a real challenge.
- I am much more than a mere droid.
- You’re a bold little one.
- Have we met before? I’ve killed so many Jedi I can hardly keep track.
- Come, little one. Now we can truly get acquainted.
- Aren’t you a little short for a Jedi?
First Advantage
- It seems the Force has abandoned you.
- You will receive no mercy from me, child.
- Summon your master, little one. Perhaps he will provide a greater challenge.
- Your lightsaber is not worth my time.
- This is what the Jedi send against me? I should be insulted.
- You will not live long enough to become a Jedi Knight.
Second Advantage
- Beg for your life, youngling.
- The Force will not save you.
- You will not escape me, little one.
- Where is your master now, little one?
- Your end is near, child.
- My training comes with a Jedi body count.
On Victory
- I will spare your life, youngling. If you want your lightsaber back, go tell your master he must take it from me.
- The Republic would do better to send a real Jedi against me next time.
- Where is your bluster now, child? Nexu got your tongue?
First Disadvantage
- Bah! You are too small a target.
- There is still some fight left in you! So much the better.
- So, youngling, you will provide me with some sport after all.
- You have spirit. I will enjoy crushing it out of you.
- You will not survive this encounter, young fool.
- Your words ring hollow, little one. You cannot defeat me.
Second Disadvantage
- Beginner’s luck, child.
- Come to me, little one.
- I will make you suffer for your insults.
- One more boast, and I will cut out your tongue.
- Your defiance is amusing, but futile.
- I will not be defeated by a child!
On Defeat
- You will not be so lucky the next time we meet, youngling.
- Somehow, you managed to defeat me. But unlike the Jedi, I will seek revenge.
- You won the battle, little one, but the Jedi will lose this war.
Summary
Grievous is surprised at Ahsoka’s challenge. Ahsoka accuses Grievous of only getting his lightsabers from younglings and Padawans. Grievous gets very annoyed at Ahsoka’s prods. He repeatedly requests for her to bring Anakin in to give him a better fight. Reasons given for Ahsoka’s potential advantage are her small size and speed. Reasons given for Grievous’s potential advantage are his large size and strength, as well as Ahsoka’s lack of experience.

Ahsoka vs Kit Fisto
January 11th 2025, 2:47 am
Ahsoka
Intro
- Greetings, Master. Ready to be humbled by a Padawan?
- You won’t be smiling when this is over, Master Fisto.
- I always enjoy a bout with you, Master Fisto.
Ambient
- I can’t wait to see the look on your face when I defeat you.
- I hope the Jedi Council doesn’t turn you into a grump like Master Windu.
- I’m not a youngling anymore, Master.
- Master Kenobi says you’ve never been able to beat him.
- Oh, I heard a new one: a Rodian, a Wookiee, and a Hutt walk into a cantina.
- Age doesn’t matter. Soon, I’ll be a full-fledged Jedi Knight.
First Advantage
- Don’t worry, Master. I won’t humiliate you too badly.
- Size matters when your opponent is too small to hit.
- Stay sharp… I’ve never felt more comfortable with the lightsaber.
- You won’t hold it against me when I defeat you, right?
- Don’t get too tangled up in your tentacles.
- You won’t distract me with jokes this time.
Second Advantage
- Comin’ at ya, Master.
- I could get used to this.
- You can’t win by only fighting defense.
- How do you like losing to a youngling?
- I’ve never defeated a Jedi Master before.
- Who’s smiling now?
On Victory
- That felt really good!
- What happens when I beat every member of the Jedi Council?
- See what happens when you underestimate me?
First Disadvantage
- Your jokes are as bad as your saber skills!
- You think you’re winning? Get ready for disappointment.
- I thought serving on the Council would make your skills rustier.
- I’ve lost before and I’ll lose again, but not this time!
- You should be ashamed, picking on a poor little Padawan!
- This is your last chance. Surrender, or… be victorious.
Second Disadvantage
- I don’t think this is funny.
- Keep laughing, Master!
- Oh, like you were never a Padawan.
- You’re enjoying this too much.
- Ugh! Stop fighting so well!
- Had enough, Master Fisto?
On Defeat
- That’s the last time you’ll beat me, Master Fisto. Count on it.
- Remember, it’s the Jedi way to be humble in victory.
- It’s always a pleasure, Master Fisto. Except the whole “losing” part.
Kit Fisto
Intro
- Greetings, young one. Why don’t we just dive right in?
- Hello, Padawan Tano. Let’s play.
- Ready when you are, Padawan. Let’s see if Skywalker’s managed to teach you anything.
Ambient
- Let the Force flow through you, like a current.
- You’re holding it upside-down, you know.
- Master Kenobi speaks highly of you, young one.
- We must be sensitive to ripples in the Force.
- The Force is the wellspring of all things, young one.
- You appear to be taking to your new master quite well, Ahsoka.
First Advantage
- I judge your skills, Ahsoka, not your spirit.
- Never stop until the fight is true, Padawan.
- Remember your training! You must stay as calm as a placid lake.
- If my smile annoys you, Padawan, why don’t you wipe it off my face?
- You talk tough for someone who’s getting her tail kicked.
- Your moves are so sluggish I could swear we’re dueling underwater!
Second Advantage
- Don’t knock the Nautolan!
- It’s sink or swim time, Padawan.
- What would Skywalker say?
- Is that what you call a defense?
- You must wade before you can swim.
- Have you been sleeping through saber training?
On Victory
- You fought hard, Padawan. But next time, fight a little harder.
- Good effort, Ahsoka! But remember, the foundation for victory is a solid defense.
- I trust you will work hard to improve your skills, Padawan. This war is not a game.
First Disadvantage
- Your saber grip is unorthodox, but effective.
- In every battle there’s an ebb and flow, young one.
- Perhaps I need to take some lightsaber training from Skywalker myself!
- That’s it! Wear your opponent down, like the pounding surf!
- If you think I’m going to take a dive, you are certainly mistaken!
- Perhaps you are ready for the war after all.
Second Disadvantage
- You’re a slippery one!
- Good, Padawan. Don’t let up!
- You are quicker than a Sabalon swarm-hopper!
- I’ve had better fights.
- I see you’ve been doing your exercises!
- Don’t count me out just yet.
On Defeat
- Thank you for an enjoyable bout, Padawan Tano.
- Congratulations on your victory, Ahsoka. There is a first, and last, time for everything.
- Thank you, Padawan! It was you who taught me a lesson this time.
Summary
Kit gives Ahsoka advice throughout the duel. They have sparred in the past, and Ahsoka has not ever beaten Kit before. Ahsoka's potential advantage is attributed to her unorthodox fighting style and her endurance. Kit's potential advantage is attributed to his experience and ability to anticipate Ahsoka's strikes.

Ahsoka vs Mace Windu
January 11th 2025, 2:55 am
Ahsoka
Intro
- It’s an honor to face you, Master Windu. But that doesn’t mean I won’t wipe the floor with you.
- I’m ready to spar with you, Master Windu. I hope you’re ready to be surprised.
- This is either going to be the shortest duel of all time, or the biggest upset.
Ambient
- Would it kill you to smile, Master? Just once?
- Master Skywalker’s a great teacher.
- I would follow Master Skywalker into the heart of the Separatist capital.
- I may be small, but I’m strong with the Force.
- I know you don’t fully trust Anakin, but I know he would never betray the Republic.
- At least I haven’t embarrassed myself so far.
First Advantage
- I’ve been training day and night. Can you tell?
- The little Padawan’s tougher than you thought, huh?
- I… feel like I have to apologize every time I hit you.
- Not used to being on the defensive, are you?
- I bet Master Skywalker I could beat you. He said I was crazy!
- If you were holding back, I’m going to be very disappointed.
Second Advantage
- I wish Master Yoda could see this.
- I’m as surprised as you are!
- Advantage: Padawan!
- So far, so good!
- Is that all you’ve got, Master?
- I know I have what it takes to finish this.
On Victory
- Who needs the Trials? I just beat Mace Windu in a duel!
- Your approval is the greatest praise a Jedi can receive, Master.
- I know it’s not the Jedi way, but can’t I gloat, just a little?
First Disadvantage
- Remember, you were once a Padawan too. Like… a hundred years ago.
- Right now, I feel like I’ve forgotten everything I’ve learned about saber fighting.
- All part of my plan to lull you into a sense of superiority.
- When was the last time you actually lost a duel?
- I’m going to turn this bout around any minute.
- Did Anakin tell you about my uncanny ability to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat?
Second Disadvantage
- This is gonna be worse than I thought.
- I’m fighting my hardest, Master!
- Don’t give up on me yet!
- Ugh! I can do this!
- This Padawan never yields.
- I may be down, but I’m not out.
On Defeat
- Thank you for the lesson, Master Windu. I’ll do better next time.
- Are you as surprised as I am, Master? I was certain I’d be the victor.
- I want a rematch, Master. You won’t be so lucky next time.
Mace Windu
Intro
- Let’s see how well Master Skywalker has taught you.
- Master Skywalker is pleased with your progress, Padawan, but he will not judge you in the Trials.
- Give me everything you’ve got, Padawan Tano.
Ambient
- You’ve been a good influence on Master Skywalker.
- The lightsaber must be an extension of your arm.
- I am not here to boost your confidence, Padawan. I am here to test your skills.
- You best not fight below your abilities, Padawan.
- If you can’t control your fear in my presence, you will never be ready to face a Sith Lord.
- Wisecracks will not help you on the battlefield.
First Advantage
- Have you forgotten everything Master Yoda taught you?
- Your grip is too tight. Loosen up.
- You’ll have to do better than that to impress me, young one.
- A Sith Lord won’t go easy on you, and I won’t either.
- Keep your head in this match, Padawan!
- If it weren’t for the war, you’d still be a youngling in the Jedi Temple.
Second Advantage
- Concentrate, Padawan!
- This is not a game.
- This is as much a battle of wills as it is skills.
- Concentrate on your lightsaber, not your words.
- One wrong move in battle and you’re finished, young one.
- You’re running out of opportunities to impress me.
On Victory
- You still have much to learn, young Padawan.
- Don’t take it so hard. No Padawan has ever defeated me in combat.
- I was hoping you’d be further along in your training.
First Disadvantage
- Good, Padawan Tano. Let’s see how well you do when I stop holding back.
- If you lose your focus for an instant, I will exploit it.
- Don’t hesitate, Padawan. When you see an opening, strike!
- The fight isn’t over, Padawan! Keep your opponent on the defensive.
- You are an unconventional warrior, like your master.
- You’re quick, Padawan, but don’t sacrifice accuracy for speed.
Second Disadvantage
- Very good, Padawan.
- Excellent blade control.
- Press your attack!
- Keep me off balance!
- Now is not the time to ease up!
- You haven’t won yet, Padawan!
On Defeat
- Very good, young Padawan. You will make a formidable Jedi Knight.
- Well done, Padawan Tano, but there’s always room for improvement.
- Skywalker’s bound to lead you into trouble, Padawan, but I think you’re ready to help him get out.
Summary
Ahsoka states that her beating Mace in a duel would be the biggest upset of all time. Mace gives her advice on how to improve her technique. A reason given for Ahsoka potentially having the advantage is that she’s been training day and night and that Mace is unused to fighting defensively. A reason for Mace potentially having the potential advantage is Ahsoka’s lack of focus.

January 11th 2025, 3:02 am
Ahsoka
Intro
- Ready when you are, Master Kenobi. I’ll try not to hurt you.
- I’ve been patient long enough, Master. Let’s get this bout started.
- Hello, Master Kenobi. Get ready to be impressed.
Ambient
- There’s a time for patience, and there’s a time for action.
- I don’t have your gift for negotiation.
- Maybe I do rely too much on my lightsaber. But that’s what I’m good at.
- That bog-witch Ventress won’t get away from us next time.
- Is it true Anakin was born a slave? That’s a hard life.
- I’d like to hear about Master Qui-Gon sometime.
First Advantage
- If you’re any more patient, you’re gonna lose this match.
- Be honest. Was Anakin this good at my age?
- I’m sorry. Would you have preferred a quiet game of Dejarik?
- Master Skywalker calls this “aggressive meditation.”
- I know what you’re thinking. “Good thing I’m on your side.”
- If you surrender now, I won’t think less of you, Master.
Second Advantage
- Skyguy taught me all your tricks.
- I don’t like to lose.
- Skyguy’s never gonna believe this!
- I’ll be patient… after I defeat you.
- With the Padawan, expect the unexpected.
- You’re not going to talk your way out of this one!
On Victory
- Ready for another bout, Master Kenobi?
- Kenobi, Skywalker, and Tano… we’re shooting stars that’ll never be stopped!

- What happened to all that “patience” of yours, Master Kenobi?
- You have to teach me some of those moves.

- Somehow, I imagined myself doing better.
- This Padawan always bounces back!
Second Disadvantage
- Okay, so you’re the teacher.
- Come on, Ahsoka. Dig deep.
- I’m about to learn a lesson, aren’t I?
- This can’t be happening!
- Get ready for the big reversal.
- Ugh… can we start this bout over?
On Defeat
- Okay… I admit it. I’m not the best with a lightsaber. Yet.
- Uh… let’s keep this between us, okay Master Kenobi?
- Thank you for the bout, Master Kenobi. I always appreciate your wisdom.
Obi-Wan

- You do Anakin credit.
- The duel isn’t over yet, Padawan.
- You handle your weapon well.
- Nice attacks. Well executed.
- You’ve grown strong with the Force.
- Do not be too hasty, Padawan.
On Defeat
- You’ll make a fine Jedi Knight one day, Ahsoka.
- Anakin is a good teacher and you are an excellent pupil.
- Anakin is very proud of you, Ahsoka, with good reason.

Ahsoka vs Plo Koon
January 11th 2025, 3:08 am
Ahsoka
Intro
- Koh-to-yah, Master Plo. Think you can take me?
- I’ve been training hard for this, Master Plo.
- I don’t need an advantage anymore, Master. Let’s make it an even fight.
Ambient
- Just curious, what happens to a Jedi who doesn’t pass the Trials?
- If I may, Master, this is Plo cool.
- Everything I’ve become, I owe to you, Master Plo.
- You’re not worried you’re going to lose to a Padawan, are you?
- I’m so glad you found me, Master. The Jedi Temple is where I truly belong.
- I will never let you down, Master Plo.
First Advantage
- You can blame Master Skywalker when I beat you!
- Not so easy to defeat now, am I?
- What’s the matter, Master Plo? Getting too much oxygen?
- Losing must be a new experience for you, Master. Get used to it.
- I want to be the youngest Jedi to ever pass the Trials.
- I’ve been waiting years to say this: ready to give up, Master Plo?’
Second Advantage
- The Padawan strikes back!
- You’re slowing down, Master!
- I may be small…but I’m quick!
- There’s no stopping the Padawan!
- Let me show you what I can do.
- You’re fading fast, Master!
On Victory
- I never thought I could fight well enough to defeat you, Master Plo!
- Mi-ku-toh, Master Plo. Your approval means more to me than anything.
- Only eleven more bouts to defeat every member on the Jedi Council.
First Disadvantage
- “Plo Koon” means “kick butt” in Kel Dor, doesn’t it?
- If I lose, it’s Anakin’s fault.
- I can’t believe I’m falling for your old tricks!
- Okay… my defense could use a little work.
- You know… I get more dangerous when I fall behind, Master Plo.
- Now I remember why you’re the master and I’m the apprentice.
Second Disadvantage
- No fair! You always win.
- Oh, no… not this time, Master.
- You haven’t lost your touch, Master Plo.
- Ugh! Yoda taught me better than this.
- Get ready for the surprise comeback of your life.
- I’m not losing! I just haven’t won yet.
On Defeat
- Mi-ku-toh, Master Plo. I’ll get you next time.
- Can we go again? I told Master Skywalker I was going to beat you.
- There goes my undefeated streak.
Plo Koon
Intro
- It is good to see you again, little ‘Soka.
- Temper your eagerness, Padawan. Let your opponent come to you.
- Koh-to-yah, little ‘Soka. Let us begin.
Ambient
- Concentrate on the moment.
- Beware of attachments, Padawan, even to me. They are a path to the dark side.
- You’re still as outspoken as you were the day I found you on Shili.
- You have spirit, young one.
- Extraordinary times call for extraordinary Jedi, Ahsoka.
- Every Jedi’s lightsaber is unique, just as their fighting style is a singular expression.
First Advantage
- You can do better, little ‘Soka. I’ve seen it.
- Endurance is more important than strength.
- Forget raw power, Padawan. Agility, timing, and strategy make for better swordsmen.
- Your blade movements are overstated, Padawan. You must be more subtle.
- Do not see the attack, young one. See the form behind the attack and move to counter it.
- Connect to yourself, to your opponent, to the moment. That is the path to victory.
Second Advantage
- Mind and body must be one when you wield your saber.
- Blend your thoughts and your actions, little ‘Soka.
- That which hurts instructs.
- Concentrate on the moment, Ahsoka.
- Relax, and let the Force control your actions.
- Do not give up, Ahsoka. Fight to the finish.
On Victory
- You are beaten little ‘Soka, but not for lack of effort.
- You’ve done well, Padawan. I hope soon we can return to training for peace instead of war.
- You’ve grown strong in body and spirit, Padawan, but your training is still incomplete.
First Disadvantage
- You fight well, little ‘Soka.
- Master Yoda told me you are gifted with the blade, and I must agree.
- Words can put an enemy off-balance as easily as saber strikes.
- Things can change very quickly in a lightsaber duel.
- You are becoming a powerful young Jedi.
- We had our concerns, but it appears that Master Skywalker is teaching you well.
Second Disadvantage
- You have come a long way, Ahsoka.
- Beware of your vanity. It will cloud your judgment.
- You are as stubborn as ever!
- The lightsaber is an extension of a Jedi’s being.
- Do not relent until your opponent is defeated.
- Your saber skills are quite advanced.
On Defeat
- Well done, little ‘Soka! I’m very proud of you.
- Thank you, Padawan. I believe you taught me something today.
- Mi-ku-toh, little ‘Soka. You will make a fine Jedi Knight.
Summary
Plo Koon instructs Ahsoka. They’ve dueled before, but Ahsoka has never beaten him, and has trained up to try for it this time. Ahsoka’s potential advantage is attributed to Yoda and Anakin’s training, her speed, and her ability to come back from difficult positions. Plo’s potential advantage is attributed to his endurance, balance, trickery, and ability to anticipate Ahsoka’s moves.

Anakin vs Anakin
January 11th 2025, 3:48 am
Anakin
Intro
- Hah… at last,a sparring partner who will give me a challenge.
- Master Kenobi always said I was my own worst enemy.
- If I know you, you won’t go down without a fight.
Ambient
- Bet you didn’t foresee this one.
- Does this mean we’re the Chosen Two?
- If I’m the best swordsman in the Jedi Order, what does that make you?
- We could be here a while…
- Is this Master Yoda’s idea of a joke?
- Don’t get any ideas about Padme…
First Advantage
- Ha! Sometimes, I even amaze myself.
- Do you actually know how to use that lightsaber?
- This is disappointing… I always imagined I’d be harder to defeat.
- How are you gonna take this from me?
- You can start fighting back anytime, Skywalker.
- I could fight with one hand behind my back, but I don’t think it’d make much difference.
Second Advantage
- Some “Chosen One” you are.
- Could you try a little harder?
- You can stop holding back now.
- Try to keep up.
- This is for your own good!
- Don’t worry. It’ll be over soon.
On Victory
- I knew I was good. But I didn’t think I was this good.
- You were the toughest opponent I’ve ever faced.
- You can call me “Master Skywalker.”
First Disadvantage
- You’re good… you’re very, very good.
- Losing to Skywalker… now I know how Obi-Wan feels.
- Why don’t we team up and challenge Master Windu?
- No matter who wins, we’ll never hear the end of it from Ahsoka.
- I know how you fight. And you… know that I know. But I know that you know that I know. So… it’s still anyone’s match.
- You should know better than to count me out before the fight is over.
Second Disadvantage
- This could be going better…
- I’m glad you’re enjoying this.
- Why don’t we call it a draw?
- Show-off!
- Which one of us is having the bad dream?
- That’s what I call “an attack of the clone!”
On Defeat
- If Master Kenobi could see this, he’d be very grumpy.
- Looks like the better man won.
- I think even Master Windu would’ve been impressed.
Summary
As with the other mirror matchups, the characters are perfect mirrors. Anakin states a couple times that he is the best duelist in the Jedi Order, and that he is fortunate to be able to duel his clone to finally have a challenge. He floats the idea that Yoda is the source of his twin opponent (maybe a nod to Luke’s duel against himself/Vader in the Dagobah cave).

- Let’s finish this once and for all, assassin.

- Your fighting style is erratic and undisciplined.
- You’re finished, Ventress. Don’t let yourself be destroyed.
- Are you really the best that Count Dooku could find?
- You can’t defeat a fully-trained Jedi, assassin.
- You should’ve trained harder since we last met.
- I hate to be the one to tell you, but you’re about to fail Count Dooku again.
Second Advantage
- You just don’t learn, do you?
- Ha! I have you now, assassin.
- You are beaten, Sith!
- I’m not finished with you yet.
- It’s useless to resist.

- You’re finished, assassin! And soon, your master will join you in defeat.
First Disadvantage
- Count Dooku is a traitor to the Force and the Republic!
- Looks like Dooku taught you some new tricks.
- I’ve battled a true Sith Lord. You don’t have his power.
- I should’ve made sure you were finished back on Yavin IV!
- Your treachery will not be enough to destroy the Republic!
- This isn’t going to end well for you.
Second Disadvantage
- I can feel your hatred.
- You’ve been training.
- You’re stronger than I remember.
- Not this time, assassin.
- I sense fear in you. You’re smarter than you look.
- You’re good, but not good enough.
On Defeat
- It will take more than two Sith to destroy the Jedi Order, Ventress.
- We will meet again, assassin. And I will put an end to your treachery.
- This isn’t over, Sith witch. The Jedi will destroy your evil.
Asajj
Intro
- Skywalker. I’ve been looking forward to our next meeting.
- Foolish young Padawan. I will show you true power: the power of the Sith.
- You defeated me on Yavin, Skywalker. But today, you will fall beneath my blades.
Ambient
- It would be wise to surrender now.
- I’ve learned much since we last met, Skywalker.
- Today you will die, Skywalker.
- The dark side is strong within me.
- You will taste the power of the dark side.
- You fight like a youngling.
First Advantage
- You should have finished me on Yavin.
- You won’t escape me with just a scar this time, Skywalker.
- With your death, I will take my place as a Sith Lord.
- Lay down your weapon, and I will grant you a swift death.
- The longer you fight, the more painful I will make your death.
- Your arrogance will be your doom, Skywalker.
Second Advantage

Second Disadvantage
- I sense the dark side in you, but you are too weak to embrace it.
- The Force is strong within you.
- My master has underestimated you.
- Your clone troops are dying, Skywalker.
- Your reinforcements will not arrive in time.
- Finish me now, or regret it forever.
On Defeat
- We will meet again, Skywalker.
- This is not the end, Skywalker.
- You may strike me down, but you have already lost, Jedi.
Summary
Numerous callbacks are made to their duel on Yavin IV in OCW, with both agreeing that Anakin legitimately got the upper hand on Asajj. There seems to be a soft retcon that, with that being seemingly the duel in the forefront of their minds, that was when Asajj delivered Anakin his scar over his eye, instead of on Coruscant. Asajj, however, maintains that she has learned much from Dooku since then, even in neutral or unfavorable scenarios. Asajj’s potential advantage is attributed to her improved talents since their last meeting

Intro
- We meet again at last, Count Dooku. You’ll find that I’m more than a match for you this time.
- Let’s dispense with the pleasantries, Count.

Ambient
- My powers grow stronger every time we meet, Dooku.
- You and your Separatists are traitors to the Republic!
- You can’t win this war, Dooku. Mindless machines cannot defeat the will of the Force.

- The dark side is a refuge of the weak and fearful.
- You will not lure me to the dark side, Count. I am a Jedi!

- I’m not the young Padawan you faced on Geonosis. I am a fully trained Jedi Knight.
- The Separatists have enslaved their last star system, Dooku.
- The Jedi will find the Separatist leaders and bring them to justice.
- You’ve been pulling the strings in the shadows for so long you’ve forgotten how to fight.
- I’ve been training for this moment since the last time we met, Dooku.
Second Advantage
- I don’t need anyone’s help to defeat you!
- I will put an end to your lies.

- Ready to surrender yet?
- The tables have turned, Dooku.
- Your powers are weak, Count.
On Victory
- You are beaten, Dooku! The Senate will decide your fate.
- Some very unhappy Jedi Council members want to talk to you, Count.
- With you in our custody, the other Separatist leaders will soon surrender.

- How could a member of the Jedi Council betray the Republic?
- The more droids you make, Dooku, the more pieces we’ll cut them into.
- I will submit without giving you the fight of your life!
- The Sith will never rule the galaxy as long as one Jedi lives.
- I still have a few surprises, Count!
Second Disadvantage
- I will see this fight through to the end!
- You can’t intimidate me, Dooku.
- This fight’s just getting started!
- I’m just getting warmed up, Count.
- You’ve seen nothing of my true power, Dooku!
- You may have the advantage…
On Defeat
- The Chancellor will never surrender to the Separatists, Dooku.
- I am a single Jedi in a brotherhood of thousands. You cannot hope to defeat us all!
- You may have defeated me, but I will never bow before you, Dooku!
Dooku
Intro
- You are brave to face me, boy. Brave, but foolish.
- I would have thought you’d learned your lesson the last time we met. So be it.
- Come, my young Jedi. Let us finish what we have begun!
Ambient
- I sense your anger, Skywalker… there is hope for you yet!
- Qui-Gon was a fool to bring you to the Jedi.
- The Jedi are a blind Order in service of a corrupt Senate.
- We shall settle this without Master Yoda’s interference.
- How are you enjoying your new hand?
- You are becoming known as “the Hero With No Fear.” I shall put that to the test.
First Advantage
- Last time, I took your hand. Now, I will take your head!
- You are hardly the swordsman you pretend to be, Skywalker.
- You underestimate the power of the dark side.
- I had more skilled sparring partners as a Padawan.
- You are still every bit as reckless as the last time we met.
- It’s tragic how poor the level of lightsaber training has become.
Second Advantage
- Shall I take your other hand?
- You are aggressive, undisciplined.

- There is no escape this time, young Skywalker.
- Is that fear I sense, after all?
On Victory
- Your defeat was inevitable, Skywalker.
- It appears the Jedi prophecy is in error, Skywalker.
- The circle closes, young Skywalker. The Jedi are done for.
First Disadvantage
- You have unusual powers, young Jedi, but not enough to save you this time.
- Be on your guard, Skywalker. This fight is far from finished.
- You overestimate your importance, Skywalker. The Chosen One prophecy is a myth.
- You take too much pride in your abilities, young one.
- Your training will not be enough to overcome my power, boy.
- You are unwise to persist in this confrontation, young Jedi.
Second Disadvantage
- Your skills are complete, young one.
- You are outmatched, boy.
- I have powers you cannot comprehend, Skywalker.
- I should have finished you on Geonosis!
- Surrender now or die, boy.
- You cannot overcome the dark side, Skywalker.
On Defeat
- My defeat will not alter the course of this war. The Jedi will be swept from the galaxy.
- The Sith will rule the galaxy. Nothing can stop that now.
- Indeed you are powerful, Skywalker, but the hour is late, and the Jedi are doomed.
Summary
The duel is emphasized as a rematch after the fight in AotC. In particular, Anakin’s progression as a fighter is made a big deal of. Anakin’s potential advantage is attributed to his improvement in technique and strength in the Force. Dooku’s potential advantage is attributed to his unusual skills and a decline in dueling standards since his time.

Anakin vs EG-5
January 11th 2025, 4:07 am
Anakin
Intro
- It’ll take more than a droid to intimidate me.
- You look like a poor excuse for an assassin droid.
- Get ready, Sparky. I’m gonna smash you into who knows what.
Ambient
- Time for a little aggressive reprogramming.
- You belong in the spice mines of Kessel.
- I take apart droids like you in my sleep, Sparky.
- You’d look better in about… fifteen pieces.
- You’re just a protocol droid with a bad attitude.
- You belong in my old junk shop in Mos Espa.
First Advantage
- What’s the matter, Sparky? Having some trouble with your photoreceptors?
- Too slow! I can take a look at your actuating couplers if you’d like.
- I’ve built better droids than you out of junk and spare parts.
- I’ve seen binary loadlifters with faster reflexes.
- I used to work in a junk shop, and I know scrap when I see it.
- I think your joints are freezing up!
Second Advantage
- Another droid, another pile of scrap.
- Droids and lightsabers don’t mix.
- You need a tune-up, Sparky.
- You’re leaking something.
- Is that the best you can do?
- I’m gonna melt you down for scrap.
On Victory
- All too easy, you worthless pile of junk.
- Back to the scrap heap, Sparky.
- The Separatists are gonna have to come up with a better “secret weapon” than that.
First Disadvantage
- I’d love to get a look at your servomotor relays.
- I’ve never seen such skill in a droid before.
- You put the “battle” back into “battle droid.”
- No assembly line junker is going to defeat this Jedi!
- Where’s my Padawan when I need her?
- You’re pretty good, for a droid, but not good enough to beat a Jedi!
Second Disadvantage
- Impressive!
- No way am I losing to a droid.
- This is embarrassing.
- I could be in trouble.
- You’re better than you look.
- Why don’t you close down for a while?
On Defeat
- The Jedi are going to have their hands full.
- The Separatists can replicate Jedi fighting skills… This is a dark day for the Republic.
- Even an army of saber droids is no match for the power of the Force.
Summary
Anakin, like the other Jedi, is confident in his ability to destroy the droid. That being said, Anakin is quick to admit that the EG-5 model is among the most formidable that he’s faced. Anakin’s potential advantage is attributed to his alliance with the Force and the droid failing to react to his moves. EG-5’s advantages are attributed to its physicality.
