DARTH GLOVOC, LORD OF THE MIND'S EYE

Darth Glovoc was a sith lord from Revan's Sith Empire who crashed on the planet Nyriaan and then locked himself in stasis, only coming out check on his followers occasionally.

FEATS + STATEMENTS

In Revan's Sith Empire we know only of 6 sith lords given the title of Darth (those being Malak, Revan, Glovoc, Sion, Bandon and Voren), Glovoc being among them should be notable considering the power of the other Darth's.

Glovoc has a single vision of a planet and the entire sith order takes interest. He also his own personal interdictor-class warship

Galaxy Of Intrigue wrote:3,957 BBY: The Sith take a mild interest in the Luire system following Darth Glovoc's vision that something of interest is concealed on the surface of the system's fifth planet. Glovoc takes command of the Dying Sun, an Interdictor-class warship, and he orders his crew to set a course for the Luire system.
Darth Glovoc takes his flagship, an Interdictor-class warship dubbed Dying Sun, and sets course for the one place that his records show matches his vision: the Luire system

Survives the crash of the Dying Sun which is "miraculous"

Galaxy Of Intrigue wrote:3,956 BBY: As it surveys Nyriaan, the Dying Sun encounters several Republic cruisers that have stumbled into the Luire system. In the ensuing battle, three Republic cruisers are destroyed and the Dying Sun is critically damaged. Caught in Nyriaan's gravity well, the Dying Sun's orbit slowly decays, and it eventually makes planetfall. Escape pods from the Dying Sun and from the Republic cruisers crash on Nyriaan, but none is ever heard from again.
During the Jedi Civil War, a brief but violent battle takes place in the Luire system. When the debris clears, the Galactic Republic has successfully dealt a killing blow to the Dying Sun, a Sith Interdictor-class warship. The Republic never considers why the Sith are in this largely ignored area of space and assumes that the enemy vessel was merely avoiding discovery by hiding in a remote system. The Dying Sun is eventually pulled into Nyriaan's gravity well, and it breaks up into several pieces as it tumbles to the planet's surface. A number of these pieces endure the crash, and perhaps even more miraculously, a handful of the Dying Sun's crew manages to survive as well

Glovoc is the first to notice the weird force properties of the planet Nyriaan, and it takes the Jedi some time to find it for themselves.

Galaxy Of Intrigue wrote:Force-users are consistently confounded by the interference they receive when using Force powers in the vicinity of Nyriaan. The first Force-user to notice this phenomenon is Darth Glovoc, and Jedi from the Republic later rediscover the phenomenon

Glovocs Disciples also know of Nyriaan's properties, whether that is due to Glovoc telling them or from their own studies isn't clear. But they do make predictions on where it comes from in the first place.

Galaxy Of Intrigue wrote:Others theorize that a heretofore undiscovered lifeform or sentience lives within the atmosphere and impedes or intercepts the use of Force powers. Disciples of Darth Glovoc believe that something within Nyriaan is to blame.

Following the Dying Sun's crash, the remaining Sith who survived start worshipping Glovoc for his power

Galaxy Of Intrigue wrote:Although their population has never been significant, the surviving Sith pull together under the ruthless leadership of Darth Glovoc, their captain, and survive the hardships of Nyriaan. Over the millennia the Sith become twisted and inbred, biding their time until they are able to shrug off Nyriaan's shackles and fight the Jedi once more. The Sith occasionally encounter other Nyriaan natives, upon whom they prey mercilessly, but they are mostly content to subsist on their own in relative seclusion. Darth Glovoc goes into suspended animation within an oubliette, initially awakening every hundred years or so to take stock of his people and their progress. His episodes of consciousness grow less and less frequent as the millennia slowly pass until he is worshiped as a sleeping god, the Dying Sun, by the depraved descendants of his crew.

By the time of the movies Glovoc does not wake up anymore, but if he did he return, he would command his disciples and venture beyond Nyriaan to attack the Jedi.

After the colonization of Nyriaan, his sleep becomes fitful and restless. The creatures that serve Darth Glo-voc's sleeping form try to awaken him, but to no avail. If he finally regains consciousness, he doubtless brings his servants together to venture out in search of conquest beyond the murky prison of Nyriaan.

Glovoc was sealed with a oubliette, the only other oubliette we know in Star Wars was created by Remulus Dreypa to imprison Karness Muur, this oubliette is considered a Sith Artifact and considering a powerful sith like Dreypa had to create it was can assume Glovoc created his own aswell.

Glovoc led lots of successful campaigns against the Jedi during the civil war

Galaxy Of Intrigue wrote:Darth Glovoc, self-proclaimed Lord of the Mind's Eye, wages a series of successful campaigns during the waning years of the Jedi Civil War

Glovoc is "Brilliant but mad" and spends all his time meditating on finding ways to defeat the Jedi

Galaxy Of Intrigue wrote:Considered brilliant but mad-even by the standards of the Sith-Darth Glovoc is often left to his own devices. When not engaging the Republic, he spends his time in deep meditation, searching for the key to his people's ultimate victory.

He has a vision of Nyriaan and thinks it is the key to the Sith empires victory, he uses his "mind's eye" to locate the exact world of his prophecy (i presume this is him basically projecting his consciousness through the galaxy looking through the world of his vision, which would explain why he is described as such a prophetic figure for revans sith empire)

Galaxy Of Intrigue wrote:On the eve of Darth Malak's death at the hands of Revan, Darth Glovoc experiences an epiphany in the form of a dream. In his vision, he sees a dark world covered in perpetual cloud, violet lightning piercing the dimness of the planet's surface like bolts of dark-side energy. As vague as the vision is, Glovoc awakes from his trance with an overwhelming desire to see this world, to walk its shadowed vistas, and to conquer its sodden landscape. Something is there, he is sure, and the dark side beckons him to find it.
As the warship travels through hyperspace, Darth Glovoc sleeps, his mind's eye seeking out the turbulent planet of his prophecy.

Glovoc left for Nyriaan on the eve of Darth Malak's death and abandoned the sith, but considering that Glovoc intended for Nyriaan to be a way for the Sith to claim victory over the Jedi i think the quote is saying that Glovoc running away is what led to Malak dying and that if Glovoc was at the Star Forge he may have won. Also considering that Glovoc was basically a prophetic figure for the Sith it is possible Malak used him for visions and wisdom similar to how palpatine used the prophets of the dark side which would explain how Glovoc's absence actually led to his death.

He is sure that Luire is his destination, and he executes on the spot those who dare to contradict him. Leaving the Jedi Civil War behind, the Dying Sun forges its way across the galaxy.

Darth Krayt hears of the Dying Sun and makes it a top priority to find Glovoc to learn from him and his holocrons and Sith artifacts. He values this information to such a high regard he sends Darth Vurik to retrieve the knowledge.

Galaxy Of Intrigue wrote:When Darth Krayt usurps the throne, his interest in Nyriaan is piqued when Sith agents uncover rumors of the Dying Sun. A Sith warship dating to the years of the Old Republic, the Dying Sun would be quite a find, especially if it contains Sith artifacts such as holocrons from that bygone age. In 132 ABY, Darth Krayt dispatches Darth Vurik to Nyriaan to investigate rumors of the Dying Sun

Darth Vurik learns of Glovoc's body and his Sith Followers and goes to them to find Glovoc and his followers. Once he found them Glovoc's followers then completely stopped all of his advances to take Glovoc's secrets and they then moved Glovocs body away, restarting Vurik's journey to find Glovoc (keep in mind glovoc has complete control over his followers)

Galaxy Of Intrigue wrote:As he investigates the scant clues provided by his master, Darth Vurik discovers the descendants of the Sith who survived the crash of the Dying Sun. The descendants of the Sith, twisted in both body and spirit by their fanatical worship of the sleeping Darth Glovoc, resist Darth Vurik's advances, and many lose their lives in defense of their comatose master. Darth Vurik's investigations into the Sith natives are not unnoticed. Members of Nyriaan's native clans observe him as he moves through their wilderness, as do the Jedi who hide among them. Before Darth Vurik can discover the location of Darth Glovoc, the sleeping captain of the Dying Sun, he is set upon by several fugitive Jedi. Although he is defeated, Darth Vurik leaves many of the Jedi wounded and kills at least one before retreating to Locus. While the Jedi and Darth Vurik distract one another, the Sith natives move Darth Glovoc to another hidden location. Haunted by his failure, Darth Vurik does not immediately report back to Darth Krayt. Instead, he hires bounty hunters to locate and kill the Jedi on Nyriaan while he continues his hunt for Darth Glovoc's body.

CONCLUSION

Glovoc is a prophetic figure for Revan's Sith
Glovoc can project his consciousness across the galaxy
Glovoc had such a collection of knowledge that Krayt sent an entire Sith lord to chase the knowledge
Glovoc was one of only 6 Darth's in Revan's Sith Empire.
Glovoc's followers stop a member of the one sith (Glovoc is superior to his followers)
Glovoc likely created his own oubliette, something we have only seen people like Remulus Dreypa create
Glovoc noticed the discrepancy in the force on Nyriaan from across the galaxy, and only after Glovoc fell asleep did the Jedi learn of Nyriaan's properties
Glovoc survives a huge ship crash
Glovoc may have causes Malak's death by not being there to help on the Star Forge

Big thanks to Eon for the help!
