Already happened, apparently Maul already beat GG, easily at that:
Dooku was possessed by Talzin and fought Sidious, while Maul easily drove Grievous away.

Personally skeptical about this since I consider GG a base Windu level duelist based on their LoE fight, but guess we have to take the files word since SoD will never be adapted on screen. Plus Maul didn't seem particularly troubled by Windu + Secura in SoD.
