Plagueis isn't taking sabers lol. In a conventional force battle Dooku should be reasonably close to Damask but I think MM adds the icing on the cake. Overall I'd say Plagueis 6.5/10

The same thing happens as in AotC when Dooku attempted to kill Yoda.

Why does him not being close to ROTS Sidious even matter, when Dooku himself isn't close to ROTS Sidious Lol. Dooku dies end of discussion.

While I’m not sure whether Dooku is close to ROTS Sidious or not, an argument can be made for him being a near-equal of Yoda at the start of 19 bby, who is at the very least equal to Plagueis, if not better.
First, it’s important to note that Dooku’s powers grew over the clone wars to a “noticeable” extent:

Darth Plagueis vs Darth Tyranus E67e0e10
(Credit to Goat)

This is after putting up a decent fight against Yoda in AOTC per multiple sources (some even claim they were equals though I take those with a grain of salt, as i feel like it goes against the intent for the two), here is an example:

With Form II, Dooku holds his own even against Master Yoda.
(fightsaber, insider #62)

Now let’s take a look at the fight in Yoda: dark rendezvous. The fight, per the essential reader’s companion takes place at the beginning of 19 bby:
Darth Plagueis vs Darth Tyranus 2ef56f10

Furthermore, as the author explained, both Yoda and Dooku were amped by the nexus, as the book itself strongly implies (in fact Dooku notes Yoda was particularly difficult to behold there on Vjun):

Darth Plagueis vs Darth Tyranus 91815b10

Now for the fight itself:

Spoiler:
Instantly he was in the air himself, spinning away from Dooku's vicious attack before he was even consciously aware it was coming. The blinding scarlet blur of Dooku's lightsaber split the air, slashing a burning line along Yoda's side before chopping his desk in half.
Yoda whipped out his blade while trying to set Whirry gently down on the cobblestones below. "Wish to hurt you, I do not!"
"That's odd," Dooku remarked. "I intend to enjoy killing you."
As Yoda released Whirry from his mind's hold, and let her spill gently onto the flagstones far below, the tip of Dooku's lightsaber scored a burning line across his shoulder. The Count's blade was quick as a viper striking. Among the other Jedi, perhaps only Mace Windu would have been his equal on neutral ground: but here on Vjun, steeped in the dark side, his bladework was malice made visible—wickedness cut in red light.
"I've hurt you!" Dooku cried.
"Many times," Yoda said. He considered his pain: let it drop. Now he had nothing but Dooku to focus on, and his lightsaber gleamed with the same fierce green light that flickered from under his heavy-lidded eyes. "But killed me you did not, when you had the chance. A mistake, that was. More than eight hundred years has Yoda survived, through dangers you could not dream."
"I know how to kill," Dooku hissed.
Yoda's eyes opened wide, like balls of green fire. "Yes—but Yoda knows how to live!"
Then their blades clashed together in a lace of fire, green and red: but the green burned hotter. Slowly, slowly, Dooku gave way: and in the dark, drunken Vjun air, Yoda was terrible to behold.
"Yes," Dooku whispered. "Feel me. Feel the treason. All those years of teaching me, raising me. Trusting me. And here am I, the favored son, butchering your precious Jedi, one by one. Hate me Yoda. You know you want to."
Count Dooku lashed out with his lightsaber. Yoda took a quick step back and felt the heat of the red blade as it sliced the air centimeters from his tunic. He jumped, spun, and struck at Dooku's back before he landed. Dooku turned aside at the last moment, whipping his blade across the space where Yoda was seconds earlier. Facing each other again, their blades met, clashed, froze.
"Cunning, are you," Yoda said, breathing hard.
"I've had excellent teachers," Dooku said.
Yoda dropped and rolled to the side, his lightsaber blazing, reaching for Dooku's ankles. Dooku leapt up and flipped backwards landing lightly to face Yoda squarely. On his feet again, Yoda whirled and struck at Dooku, his green blade meeting Dooku's and pushing him back. Dooku attacked with reckless abandon fueled with hatred. Their blades hummed together, hissing and sparking. Dooku brought his blade down toward the diminutive Jedi Master and Yoda parried, locking his blade against Dooku's.
Yoda breathed, calming himself. "And yet, even here on Vjun, where the dark side whispers and whispers to me...love you enough to destroy you I do."
Pushing Dooku back yet again, blades flashed and flared stutters of light, blood red and sea green. Sweat ran in streams through Dooku's beard as he countered Yoda's every move, and his lips were white. Holobattles raged around them as the consoles showed Obi-Wan and Anakin clashing with wave after wave of battle droids. Dooku shot a quick glance at the red button on his desk and, with a Force push, he punched it in.
Yoda cocked his head. "A choice made, have you, Count?"
"I notice I am no longer your apprentice," Dooku said between breaths. "There was always a chance you could overpower me, of course." Yoda attacked: Dooku parried. "So I put a missile in high orbit, slaved to this location. It's falling now. Gathering speed." Dooku stepped warily back to the open window casement. "Can you feel it dropping? A thorn, a needle, an arrow. Faster all the time." He paused to get his breath. "Obi-Wan and your precious Skywalker and your little Padawans will be wiped out when the missile hits. So what you need to decide is, what means more to you, Master Yoda? Saving their lives—or taking mine?"
And with that he leapt backward, out the window. Yoda bounded after him. In the dark Vjun air it was all he could do not to leap after Dooku, to fall on him like a green thunderbolt and annihilate him utterly...But already he could feel the missile, too, dropping in a red scream through the atmosphere, two hundred armored kilos of explosive aimed for Chateau Malreaux. With a snort, Yoda turned his eyes to the sky and picked out the glowing dot racing in from the horizon. Below him, Dooku landed softly on the ground and melted into the rose gardens.
The missile was coming in with terrible speed and power: too much coming at Yoda too fast ever to wholly stop it, even if he had time and perfect peace. But he reached out to pull up the Force binding even Vjun's bitter green moss and twisted thorn-trees, and let it flow through him like a wind: the breath of a world, gathered and released in a push-feather game with all their lives on the line, not to oppose the missile's force with force, but to touch it gently on the side—just enough to send it screaming by the broken window casement to plunge a kilometer offshore into the cold and waiting sea.
A long instant later, water fountained from the ocean in a blaze of light three hundred meters tall, and then fell back.
The château and all those inside it had been spared: but Dooku was gone.

Yoda is ultimately the victor, but at the end of the day Dooku menages to put a great fight, considering the following factors:
-Dooku is driven back slowly
-Yoda describes him as “cunning” and is said to be “breathing hard”.
-Dooku menages to briefly penetrate his defenses.

Taking all these factors into consideration, I’d say Dooku vs Plagueis would definitely be a good fight, with Dooku potentially winning, unless Plagueis uses MM.

If Seany thinks of Yoda as a benefactor of Vjuns atmosphere, he should have laid it out in the window of fiction open to him; the dark rendezvous book, not in a decade late tweet.

Dooku gets romped here anyway

Edit :

Here is my impression: There were only three actual sith in the Rise of the Empire timeline.

The architects, of which there were two, who shaped the Galaxy, set the future events in motion and even, through will power and unrelenting righteousness, bent the Force itself; Plageuis and Sidious.

And finally the culmination of their efforts, the reactionary answer from the force created to restore the upended balance; Anakin.

These are the 3 most powerful sith lords in history.  The two mortals who touched the deepest strata of the force and manipulated it in an unprecedented way, and the mortal divined of the same power.  Dooku was merely keeping the apprentice chair warm, much like Maul, and Vader himself after becoming broken.

And while this comparison might merely be symbolic in nature, one divined from a holistic interpretation, I don't see why that's bad in the absence of feature calculations and ceral box accolades.

As Dooku makes his escape, Yoda actively restrains himself from jumping down and “utterly annihilating” him. The dark nature of Vjun and his personal connection with Dooku were conflicting with one another and were pissing on his usual moral outlook in combat. If you gave Yoda-Wankatine’s mindset, Dooku would be out in seconds

I know you're trolling, but for everyone else; I see this a lot; the idea that Yoda takes it easy on Dooku, a statement said in passing to dilute (typically by Maul fans) the fact that Darth Tyranus performs far better than *certain other characters* against high-end opponents. In Attack of the Clones, as early as their Force duel, Yoda wants to destroy Dooku;

Yoda is an immensely powerful Jedi who can control blue crackling Force lightning. It is a cruel weapon of the Sith so he never normally sees it. But he knows that sometimes you must destroy your enemy with their own weapons.

Star Wars: Mysteries of the Jedi

Going into this duel Dooku has a lot taken out of him by an enraged, flash of brilliance Anakin Skywalker, so you can only imagine how spent he would be after a 40 second fight with Yoda, and yet;

When he is forced to choose between saving the lives of his compatriots or executing the final blow in battle, Yoda chooses life over victory, allowing his enemy to escape.

Star Wars: Yoda Unleashed

Master Yoda is perfectly willing to slaughter Dooku the moment he senses the dark side in him during their first confrontation, and was prepared to execute a final blow against a completely exhausted Count at the end of that fight. You can read more quotes (here) , there are 11 in total all reiterating the above. Onto YDR...

"And yet, even here on Vjun, where the dark side whispers and whispers to me... love you enough to destroy you I do."

Star Wars: Yoda: Dark Rendezvous

After the opening sequence of lightsaber hits, Yoda has no problem killing Dooku, something he sees as a mercy brought forth by love. As for why he didn't jump down and utterly annihilate Dooku;

Saving their lives-or taking mine?"

And with that he leapt backward, out the window. Yoda bounded after him. In the dark Vjun air it was all he could do not to leap after Dooku, to fall on him like a green thunderbolt and annihilate him utterly.... But already he could feel the missile, too, dropping in a red scream through the atmosphere, two hundred armored kilos of explosive aimed for Chateau Malreaux.

Star Wars: Yoda: Dark Rendezvous

A missile threatens to claim the lives of Whie, Scout, Anakin, Obi-Wan, and the millions on Vjun. This doesn't mean Yoda is holding back and only now attempts to kill. Pursuing Dooku would be selfish, and yet it's something he can barely restrain himself from doing; Yoda doesn't hold back, especially not against Count Dooku.
